Sensitive stupidity

Browsing through the blogroll this morning and I pass The Fat Guy who links and comments on this article. Seems tha mentioning the YEAR that Sam Houston defeated Santa Ana at the Battle of San Jacinto is demeaning to Mexicans.

To some, 1836 might mean Texas independence. To others, it was the defeat of the Mexican army at San Jacinto and thus loss of some Mexican territory. Harris County Commissioner Sylvia Garcia says 1836 might be sensitive to members of the Hispanic community and more.

Now let me get this straight: You are living in AMERICA becaue you LIKE it better than the thirid-world sh*t-hole you left. The REASON it’s better here is because in 1836 some AMERICANS whipped that fop of a general who wanted to keep Texas in Mexico. Otherwise, the land which now comprises Texas would be just one or more provinces of that “France of the Americas”, Mexico, and you’d have hauled your ass even farther north to someplace where a somewhat diminished Stars & Stripes waved in freedom’s breeze.

I bet these “guys” really wet their pants when they hear the Marine Corps’ “From the halls of Montezuma” because America also whipped their butts there…

I ain’t apologizing. America is a bright, shining city on a hill because we WON the Battle of San Jacinto. In 1836. And a lot more battles before and after that. So if 1836 gets your sensitive panties in a wad, then don’t read numbers like 1815 and 1865 and 1918 and 1942. You’ll be offended there, too, you moral-relativistic, educated beyond your intelligence liberal puke.

This is a very sore and tiresome spot for me. I’m American. I wore the uniform and stood on the line for America. I fail to see why anyone would spend the time and effort to come over here and then try to turn it into the rathole they left to get here. That’s why I have no patience for the ethnocentric bunch in academe, be they Latino or Afro-centric.

If you think that Mexico or Africa is so much more close to utopia, then, sunshine, the door works BOTH ways. don’t let it hit you in the ass on the way out…

  1. AMEN!!!!!!!!! If “their” country and way of life are so freakin’ perfect then why did they come here……oh yeah, now i remember—-for the FREE health-care and low (no)-interest “small business loans” they ‘qualify’ for as members of an “ethnic minority”…….not to mention, in their own countries they aren’t allowed to appear on liberal bleeding heart television and complain about things, especially the government

  2. I once read the book “Betrayal at Pearl Harbor” co-authored by two former British intelligence officers, Sir Eric Nave and James Resbridger. He told of a visit of Japanese dignitaries to the USS Arizona Memorial in the late 1980’s. The U.S. Park Service had to remove any reference to the surprize attack by Japan so as not to offend the visitors.

This, as Mr. Nave called it, “Historical revisionism is prevalent in most Communist countries came as quite a shock to this Author”. That PCness was an additional slap-in-the-face to those AMERICANS who will forever sleep within the hull of the Arizona.

It should not shock any red-blooded American that our elected officials are nothing but whores (very cheap ones I might add) for reelection. Any cause that America has stood for in its 230 year history will diminished so as not to offend any country, group, or religion that has pushed us to war and had their ass kicked. The kicking will have to become kissing to say we are now sorry for what the outcome was.

  3. AWW… I feel so bad the poor baby’s feelings may be hurt (the Mexicans), I got a question for anyone… Are Americans illegally migrating to Mexico by the millions? Call me racist, that’s fine but the fact is we’re being sold out by politicians on both sides of the border and in my mind if you’re here illegally you’re breaking our laws and should be shown the door out.

    Thanks,
    Carl

  4. I just recently read an article regarding illegal immigration and Mexico. Damn if I can find it! In essence, Mexico has declared war on the US and the illegal immigants and legal immigrants are its soldiers. They are fast becoming – both legal and illegal – the majority in a number of areas, they refuse to learn our language thus English will beome a secondary language soon and there was a lot more. Excellent read. Also, the money sent “home” is considered the second source of income to the government next to its oil revenues. I am so damned tired of our great country being handed over to whomever yells the loudest about their rights.

  5. Thanks Cheryl you took the words from me. Girl I don’t know where you’re located or your age that’s immaterial to me but you sure nailed it!

  6. That reminds me of the joke…

A plane was flying across the Atlantic Ocean, when the captain came on the intercom saying that the plane had lost three of its four engines, and passengers would have to lighten the plane to maintain altitude. So passengers threw out all of their carry-on baggage. But then plane was still losing altitude, so the captain made another appeal for the passengers to throw out excess weight. So the passengers tore out all of the seat cushions and threw them out too. But still the plane was losing altitude, and the captain made another appeal.

A Frenchman decided to sacrifice himself for the good of the rest of the passengers. He cried, “Vive la France!” and then he jumped out the door. But the plane was still descending.

Next, an Englishman decided to help out. He yelled, “God save the Queen!” and he too jumped. But still the plane was falling.

Finally, a Texan stood up and declared, “Remember the Alamo!” and then he threw a Mexican out the door. :-)

(Remember, it’s only a joke! It has to be a joke, ’cause what Frenchman would do that to save others?)

  7. Thank goodness no one was insensitive enough to create a cartoon about the Alamo, or there would be rioting & looting in Cancun. Possibly in the Hispanic neighborhoods across America, too.

This PC crap really needs to stop.
