Grrrrr!

Up at 0600, on the road at 0615, drive three hundred and fifty miles to help a guy swap out a circuit breaker that’s tripping entirely too often (and way under the trip setpoint) and when I get here, the spare breaker is not correct. My ‘two hours, spend the night, drive home in the morning’ job just turned into ‘spend the night, get the new breaker around noon, then replace it and THEN drive home’.

Ah, human frailties. Mistakes are made.

  1. So the cats are at the mercy of your son? And the absence was unplanned?

    This may be special…

  2. In a more perfect world, you’d have a helicopter. Then again, in a perfect world, you’d sit in your ivory tower, give advice to those that wish they had your knowledge and enjoy 180 days of paid vacation time every year.

  3. Jess:
When your job is more like a hobby with a paycheck, these little pertubations in one’s daily routine only reinforce how important you are (NOTE: I speak only as an outside observer, often envying Cajun’s paid adventures, for unlike the Cajun, I am only an underpaid and under appreciated drudge).
