The correct pronunciation of president is with a silent ‘P’, just like the current press secretary, Ms Psaki.
I had a friend in high school whose name had a “silent P”. First day of school one teacher, after butchering his name and being told the correct pronunciation, promptly said “Oh, the “P” is silent, just like in the swimming pool”. We still joke about that today, 50 years later!
