I was tooling through a construction zone a couple days back and I noted this particular paragon of style and wise choices:
First word that comes to MY mind is “idiot”.

Must think he’s racing chariots in Ben Hur!

I’m willing to bet he doesn’t know Ben Hur from Ben Gay.

I want a picture of him passing through his garage door.
In Houston, there is a very strong sub-faction of such things, called “Slabs” in their dialect. Slabs tend more towards classic Rear Wheel Drive Cadillacs, but also go large on later FWD Buicks and other GM fare. Oddly, one seldom sees a Crown Vic or Grand Marquis decked out, thus. You’ll also note that Slabs tend towards highly reflective mirror-ish paint finishes, multi-thousand watt, base heavy sound systems, full-on Huggy Bear pimped out interiors and the best of the West Coast hydraulic Low Rider/Hopper hydraulic suspensions. “Continental” spare tire kits atop the trunk or over the rear bumper are a damn-near requirement on these, too. Replete with it’s own Gladiator wheel kit.
It is not unusual to see well over $50k invested into an otherwise $1,500 car. That one you captured in the frame? It’s an outlier. A late model car with “slab” wheels and no custom paint. It’s a pretender or hasn’t yet endured the full “slab” treatment.

Yeah, we derisively referred to the last generation of these as “Riggers.”
