There’s a new illicit drug out there that’s far more dangerous and deadly than fentanyl. (Icy Macload / Getty Images)
One of the biggest campaign promises that helped propel President-elect Donald Trump to his Election Day victory involves America’s porous borders.
Of the myriad of issues that an open border presents, one of the most ominous and destructive issues it presents is the unchecked flow of deadly drugs into the country.
One of the chief scourges amid that broader drug crisis? Fentanyl.
According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, fentanyl is “about 100 times more potent” than morphine, and the illicit drug also appears “to be the primary driver of the increase in total drug overdose deaths” in America.
It’s no joke.
And yet, fentanyl has almost become a joke compared to a new, far deadlier drug that is creeping into America.
“Last year, nearly 70% of all U.S. overdose deaths were attributed to illegally manufactured fentanyls (IMFs),” Fox News reported. “One of those was carfentanil, an altered version of fentanyl that is said to be 100 times more potent, the CDC warned.”
The outlet, citing the CDC’s State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System, ominously adds: “Deaths from carfentanil rose by more than 700% in the past year, according to the same source — there were 29 deadly overdoses between January and June 2023, and 238 in that same time frame in 2024.”
The drug, which first burst onto the scene in 2016 before going dormant for a while, could be even deadlier than that, given that not all deaths have been reported on yet.
Do you know anyone who has struggled with fentanyl addiction?
Fox noted that the relative ease of mass production has made carfentanil a resurgent and popular choice when it comes to drug use.
And that only further complicates Trump’s unenviable task of tackling America’s opioid crisis.
Whereas incumbent President Joe Biden has taken a more indirect approach to tackling the issue, Trump appears dead-set on tackling the issue head-on.
As the president-elect continues to search for his ideal DEA pick, Trump has made no secret of the fact that both the border crisis and the vicious flow of drugs that it entails must be addressed.
After all, carfentanil is hardly the only horror story to emerge from people playing Dr. Frankenstein with fentanyl pills.
As recently as May of 2023, horrific video emerged from major American metropolitan cities, like Philadelphia, grappling with a fentanyl abomination referred to as “tranq.”
That drug cocktail involves mixing fentanyl with an animal sedative.
Trump will officially be inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2025, and anyone who’s been tragically affected by America’s opioid crisis will likely be looking forward to it.

Ask the Bronx Zoo to send Happy and Patty to an elephant sanctuary
After almost a lifetime in captivity, elephants Happy and Patty deserve to be freed from the Bronx Zoo and sent to an elephant sanctuary.
Happy and Patty’s suffering has been on display for decades. In recent years, both elephants have been observed engaging in stereotypic behavior, such as rocking and swaying, which is indicative of severe chronic stress and trauma. Both Happy and Patty are frequently seen shifting weight off their rear legs to alleviate pain from their feet and joints. Joint disease, such as osteoarthritis, is a painful and common ailment most zoo elephants suffer from. It is caused by elephants having to stand on hard surfaces for prolonged periods of time (sometimes their entire lives) and being held captive in small spaces that do not allow them to move their limbs even a fraction as much as they would in the wild.
This summer, Happy and Patty’s distress reached a crisis point. Happy was confined to the barn area of the elephant exhibit for nearly three months. During that time of Happy’s disappearance, Patty began displaying increasingly concerning behavior. In addition to rocking and swaying, she became increasingly more distressed by the noisy monorail–rumbling and charging as it drove by. Now, both Happy and Patty are confined to the zoo’s industrial barn for the winter.
Happy and Patty are autonomous and cognitively complex beings. They have thoughts and feelings. They remember the past and can imagine the future. They have their own experiences of the world. And right now especially, those experiences appear to be defined by grave suffering due to their captivity at the Bronx Zoo.
It’s time for the Bronx Zoo to close its elephant exhibit, as they once pledged to do, and send Happy and Patty to an elephant sanctuary where they can live freely with other elephants in a peaceful environment that can meet their complex needs.

Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States, has died at the age of 100 on Sunday, Dec. 29. Carter’s death came after a February 2023 announcement that he had decided to enter hospice care and spend his remaining time at home with family after a series of short hospital stays. The Carters celebrate 75 years of marriageBorn on Oct. 1, 1924, Carter grew up on a peanut farm and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. In the Navy, he eventually served on submarines and rose to the rank of lieutenant. The Navy commissioned a nuclear-powered submarine in 2005, naming it the USS Jimmy Carter. He was elected to the Georgia State Senate in 1962 and was a little-known Georgia governor when he began his bid for the presidency ahead of the 1976 election.
He went on to defeat Gerald Ford, capitalizing as a Washington outsider in the wake of the Vietnam War and the Watergate scandal that drove Richard Nixon from office in 1974. Carter served a single, tumultuous term and was defeated by Republican Ronald Reagan in 1980, a landslide loss that ultimately paved the way for his decades of global advocacy for democracy, public health and human rights via The Carter Center.
The former president and his wife, Rosalynn, opened the center in 1982 with a focus on advancing democracy by monitoring foreign elections and reducing diseases in developing countries over the years. The former president is widely revered for his championing of human rights. His brokering of the Camp David Accords with Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin in 1978 remains central to his legacy.
He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his efforts to push for peace across the globe.Carter and his wife volunteered for decades with Habitat for Humanity, beginning in 1984 and continuing until 2020.Carter became the oldest living U.S. president in history after the passing of George H. W. Bush, who died in late 2018 at 94.
In recent years, he has kept a low public profile due to the COVID-19 pandemic but has continued to speak out about risks to democracy around the world, a longtime cause of his. Carter overcame several health challenges in recent years. He was diagnosed with melanoma in 2015, announcing that the cancer had spread to other parts of his body. After partial removal of his liver, treatment for brain lesions, radiation and immunotherapy, he said he was cancer-free. A fall in the spring of 2019 required him to get hip replacement surgery. Then in October of that year, he hit his head in another fall and received 14 stitches, but still traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, to help build a Habitat for Humanity home shortly thereafter. Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter had four children and were married for 77 years. They were the longest-married presidential couple. Rosalynn Carter predeceased her husband, dying in November 2023 at the age of 96.

MIAMI, FLORIDA – OCTOBER 17: A customer shops in the ready to eat meals aisle of a grocery store on October 17, 2024 in Miami, Florida. Products tested by the Agriculture Department’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) came back positive for Listeria monocytogenes bacteria which initiated a recall of nearly 12 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and chicken product items sold at major stores nationwide, including Publix, Trader Joe’s, Wegmans, 7-Eleven and Kroger. (TNND) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued recalls on more than 10,000 pounds of pork products across four states. The recalls involve two companies for issues with inspection processes and labeling errors.

Impero Foods & Meats recall
Impero Foods & Meats, Inc., a Baltimore-based company, is recalling roughly 7,485 pounds of raw pork sausage products after it was discovered they were produced without federal inspection, the USDA announced Friday. FSIS determined the products, including Old World Italian Sausage links and ropes, were manufactured at a facility operating under a suspended inspection grant.
The affected sausage, marked with the establishment number “EST. 10827,” was produced between Oct. 3 and Dec. 19, 2024, and distributed to restaurants and retail stores in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
Although no illnesses or adverse reactions have been reported, consumers who purchased Old World Sausage products during this time are strongly urged by the USDA to discard or return them. FSIS categorized this recall as Class I, signifying a high-risk situation where consumption could lead to severe health consequences or death.
Ralph’s Packing Company Recall
In a separate incident, Ralph’s Packing Company in Oklahoma is recalling approximately 3,132 pounds of ready-to-eat pork and beef bologna products due to misbranding and the presence of an undeclared allergen, USDA announced Friday.
The issue arose when product labels failed to list milk as an ingredient.
The recalled items, sold under the Ralph’s Circle R brand, include Garlic Bologna and Garlic Bologna with Jalapeños. These products, produced since Sept. 2022, may still be stored in freezers or refrigerators for some consumers.
They have the establishment number “EST. 51557” and the following lot codes:
Ralph’s Circle R Garlic Bologna: 0093, 0654, 0804, 1074, 1153, 1224, 1374, 1774, 1924, 2572, 2974, 3132, 3483
Ralph’s Circle R Garlic Bologna with Jalapeños: 0804, 1074, 1224, 1233, 1354, 2184, 3374
FSIS also warned that some of these products may have been sliced and sold at retail deli counters. While no adverse health effects have been reported, consumers are advised not to consume these items and to either throw them away or return them.
Consumers are encouraged to double-check their purchases, especially if they’ve recently bought pork sausage or bologna products, to avoid potential risks.
If you’ve purchased any coconut water lately, then you may want to check your fridge.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) initiated a recall for Jarritos Coconut Water 12-can cartons made by Tipp Distributors, Inc. It then re-upped the recall on Dec. 10 and noted it’s ongoing. According to the recall notice, “The hermetic seal on the lid of the cans may be compromised,” which can affect the integrity of the product, causing it to leak, or, worse, be contaminated with harmful bacteria that will lead to illness if ingested.
The recalled product was distributed across 29 states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
The recall includes 169,438 cases, totaling 2,033,256 cans. It includes all lot codes.
As Food Safety News reported, the most dangerous potential outcome is botulism poisoning, which can “paralyze the muscles needed for breathing, resulting in sudden death.” It pointed to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website, which noted that symptoms of botulism poisoning typically set in within 18 to 36 hours after exposure, though symptoms can pop up 10 days later. “The spores usually do not cause people to become sick, even when they’re eaten,” the CDC explained. “But under certain conditions, these spores can grow and make one of the most lethal toxins known.”
The CDC added that “improperly home-canned, preserved, or fermented foods can provide the right conditions for spores to grow and make botulinum toxin,” which means a can of coconut water that is also improperly sealed could also have the potential for the toxin to thrive as well. Again, the chances are slim, but it’s probably not worth the gamble.
If you’ve experienced any of these symptoms, you should contact a medical professional immediately. And, if you’ve purchased the recalled coconut water you should not consume it and either discard it immediately or return it to the point of purchase for a full refund. If you have any additional questions about the recall, you can reach the company’s customer service hotline at 1-888-668-2639.

The funniest and most popular photography competition in the world—The Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards—announced the winners of the 2024 competition this week, with the top honor going to a red squirrel stuck in a tree.
Over 9000 images were entered, the highest number in the contest’s ten-year history, from professional and amateur photographers vying for the top accolade.
The competition was tight among the 45 finalists, with judges selecting their favorites, with only a few points between the top 5 entries. But Milko Marchetti’s image called, ‘Stuck Squirrel’ was popular across the board.
The moment was over in a flash, Milko recalled.
“I have taken many photographs of squirrels, in many situations over the years in Italy, but this one struck me as really funny and such a strange position, because it is that exact moment when the squirrel is detaching its back legs from the trunk to enter its hide.”
“Whenever I show this image at the nature seminars at my local photography club, the audience always explodes with laughter, so I had to enter it!”
The competition was founded in 2015 by Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, both professional photographers and passionate conservationists to create a refreshing, fun, and free photography competition unlike any other, showcasing funny images of the earth’s most amazing wildlife and raising awareness about conservation.
There were special mentions for the younger generation of emerging photographers including the winning shot of a frog that won the Nikon Young Photographer Award (for those under 25), with a close up of a frog smiling at the camera. Kingston Tam from Australia received a Z8 + 24-120mm kit from Nikon for their entry.
Another Highly Commended Winner features King Penguins in the Falkland Islands. The image shows a male trying to make a move on a female who has already paired up with another male. The body position and wing posture make the message clear, ‘back off!’
Just this week the UK Telegraph has been warning us of the next possible plandemic, with their eye this time on your pet cat that might be putting us all in danger:
Experts have long regarded pigs as one of the greatest zoonotic threats to public health because their cells allow viruses to mix and mutate, creating new strains capable of causing human pandemics. This is how the 2008/09 H1N1 swine flu pandemic started and it is suspected that pigs in Haskell country, Kansas may have triggered the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic which is estimated to have killed between 50 and 100 million people. Now a new study suggests that pet cats could be just as dangerous – and could provide the bridge that allows H5N1 bird flu to mutate and jump to humans.
We should be very afraid and be looking to getting rid of our pets, or so they’d have us believe. Meanwhile the Guardian is hyping it up by warning all pregnant women who contract bird flu will die!
They’ve actually been targeting cats in NZ and elsewhere for some time now.
We’ve also been targeting possums, deer, birds, rabbits, tahr and other animals considered by our conservation authorities to be pests. They even reward children these days for their efforts in killing them. Then there’s the NZ poultry farm in the South Island that recently had to have its birds culled to the tune of 80,000 plus.
In NZ here we have Pest Free NZ (PFNZ). It fuels the production of 1080 poison a lucrative business. Here begins the unravelling.
The poison 1080 is a deadly poison NZ uses with impunity (has done for 60+ years) claiming it is harmless, breaks down in water and targets pests… it doesn’t. It is a very dangerous poison and Doctors are deterred from reporting 1080 poisoning of humans as one MD found out following the death of a hiker that he reported in 2006. The NZ lab lost her heart!
(To learn more about NZ’s favourite poison go here and here. Particularly informative is the Graf Boys’ award winning doco called ‘Poisoning Paradise’. Also, find ‘1080 poison’ in the categories drop down box, top left of page, here.)
To throw some light on all of this seemingly senseless culling and the endless hype about yet another ‘flu’ strain that looms ready to kill us all, I draw your attention to an excellent article by Jenese James written in 2018. She uncovers the underlying agenda to much of this.
Jenese describes NZ’s Pest Free agenda in her article, Who is driving PFNZ?:
There is much more to this story that you can research yourself but the core thing here is that NZ is part of a much bigger extremist idea under the guise of protecting biodiversity – or purism as I call it – where everything and anything non native and not productive to human use will be destroyed
What is driving the Pest Free NZ Agenda and the hysteria in eradicating non native species. Answer – International agreements and a global agenda [Agenda 21, 2030] to purge all non native species of animals and plants around the world…
All over the world the word has gone out that all creatures great and small that are not indigenous to that land will be terminated. Its not just New Zealand..
So in the mix of the plandemic threats from lamestream, and the culling of both wild and pet animals, you will see what is really afoot. Do read the whole article.
The plandemic of course kills (pun intended) more than one bird with one stone. They get the next human cull with the new speedily produced, untested, EUA jab designed for whatever deadly disease presents itself (especially targeting those ‘miscreants’ who declined the first one) and they eradicate all of the food sources you may draw on in the coming famine that they will have created by destroying farmers, Bill Gates is hogging all the farm land, promoting fake meat production and targeting all good food like raw milk and home gardens. NZ is currently working on the GM front to feed us unlabeled GM poison without even consulting us. We’ve gotten used to that.
On reflection they are actually killing three birds with that one stone. It’s long been rumoured that another long term agenda the poisoners have is that of clearing the environment for mining. You can read about that in the following two articles which go into the purpose of all those recent man made disasters we’re now seeing world wide. It is all interrelated! One of the purposes of those is land grab:
So it’s multi purpose, multi layered rape and pillage by the corporates. All cleverly hidden ‘behind the green mask’, to quote Rosa Koire.
UN Agenda 21/Sustainable Development is the action plan implemented worldwide to inventory and control all land, all water, all minerals, all plants, all animals, all construction, all means of production, all energy, all education, all information, and all human beings in the world. INVENTORY AND CONTROL.—-Rosa Koire
Which leads us to the recent revelations about David Seymour’s corporate links to the Atlas Network. You can learn about that here. In more ways than one it is also ‘cui bono?’
They wish to deceive we the public into thinking they have our best interests at heart. Saving native species, saving us from so called man made global warming by herding us into 15 minute ‘smart’ cities, ensuring we own nothing and are happy.
Fortunately folk have woken up to the agenda & are pushing back.
Amazon Prime Studios is taking heat on Christmas for censoring a key scene in the classic Christmas film, It’s a Wonderful Life with many saying the edits make the movie nonsensical and eliminates one of the most important bits of character development in the film.
We all know the story from the 1946 Frank Capra classic. George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart), a beloved citizen of Bedford Falls, is struck by a financial disaster just ahead of Christmas when his dunder-headed uncle Billy loses the Bailey Brothers Building and Loan’s bank deposit, threatening to bankrupt the company. With his world falling apart around him, and as the evil rival, Henry Potter (Lionel Barrymore) plots to destroy his business, George wishes he had never been born and contemplates throwing himself off a bridge in suicide. But then he meets an angel named Clarence Odbody (Henry Travers), who shows George what the world would have been like if there never was a George Bailey. The revelation helps Bailey to understand that his temporary financial troubles are not the end of the world and he is surrounded by enough love and admiration to help him overcome adversity.
In the “Potterswville scene” of the film, George tells Clarence the angel that he is worth more to his family and friends dead than he is alive. Clarence then tells George that he must earn his wings and proceeds to show George what the world would have been like if George Bailey never existed.
The scenes that Clarence reveals to him showing the world without him leads George to the realization this his life has been important to the ones he loves and that epiphany causes him to run back into his home town filled with love and the Christmas spirit.
But not when Amazon Prime got involved. Fans of the film are aghast that the streaming service cut out a key part of that plot above, the Daily Mail reported.
In the Amazon Prime “abridged” version of this classic film, the scene goes from Clarence telling George his has to earn his wings to George running through the streets of Bedford Falls in delirious happiness, resolved to renew his zest for life, all without showing viewers why he made that key turn around from crestfallen and suicidal to joy and happiness.
Fans were both perplexed and furious that this important scene was removed from the movie and many imputed woke reasoning on Amazon Prime’s part.
Amazon Prime has since noted that it does have the full movie on its service, in both a colorized and black and white version. But the abridged version apparently exists as an option for viewers for two reasons. One because the suicide scene is “too dark” and secondly there has been a copyright dispute over that segment of the movie because it is supposedly based on a short story that was never recognized by the film’s original producers.
Media company RiffTrax has also streamed this same “abridged” version and has explained that, even though the film is now in the public domain, it has been beset with copyright issues after Capra apparently used the short story “The Greatest Gift” as the basis for the removed scene and never credited its writer for its use. There have also been copyright claims against the film for certain pieces of music that Capra used as background music, according to the UK newspaper, the Metro.
Amazon Prime is not exactly at fault for this kerfuffle, but fans are no less incensed for the censorship of this Christmas classic.
(KSNT) – Check your medicine cabinets: A brand of eye drops sold nationally has been recalled due to the presence of fungus, which may cause vision damage.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Monday that Alcon Laboratories, based out of Texas, is voluntarily recalling a single lot of “Systane Lubricant Eye Drops Ultra SPF, Single Vials On-the-Go” as the products may be contaminated with fungus. The eye drops come in 25-count packages.
Alcon issued the recall after a consumer complained of a “foreign material” they found in a sealed vial of the eye drops. When the company investigated, they determined the material was fungal.
The recall follows a string of similar issues with tainted eye drops reported over the past two years. Dozens of products were recalled in 2023.
Fungal contamination in eye products are known to cause infections that can threaten a person’s ability to see. In rarer cases, these infections can become life-threatening for immunocompromised people.
In this case, the producer of the eye drops has yet to receive any reports of infection related to the recalled product.
People who purchased a Systane-brand eye drop package can check to see if it is being recalled by looking at the lot number, expiration date and other details on the packaging.

Stanley Recalls 2.6 Million Travel Mugs Due to Burn Hazard
Megan Scott
Check your mug’s product identification number.
On December 12, 2024, Stanley issued a recall of 2.6 million Switchback and Trigger Action stainless steel travel mugs sold in the U.S. These double-walled mugs were sold in a variety of colors, including black and white, and were available in 12, 16, and 20-ounce sizes.
The mug’s lid threads may shrink when exposed to heat, causing it to become detached and fall off, posing a burn hazard when hot liquids are inside the cup. So far, Stanley has received 91 reports of this happening worldwide, 16 of which were from the U.S. The flaw has resulted in 38 injuries to date, including two in the U.S.
Simply Recipes / Amazon
The affected mugs were sold online (including on Amazon.com) and through a number of national retailers, including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Walmart, and Target, from June 2016 through December 2024 for $20 to $50, depending on the mug type and size. Testing confirmed a genetic match between the infected animal and the virus found in the raw frozen pet food, the department said. The test results prompted the voluntary recall, the Washington State Department of Agriculture announced in a statement on Facebook.
“We are confident that this cat contracted H5N1 by eating the Northwest Naturals raw and frozen pet food,” Ryan Scholz, a state veterinarian with the Oregon Department of Agriculture, said in a release.
“This cat was strictly an indoor cat,” Scholz said. “It was not exposed to the virus in its environment, and results from the genome sequencing confirmed that the virus recovered from the raw pet food and infected cat were exact matches to each other.”
The recall applies to products with “best if used by” dates between May 21, 2026, and June 23, 2026, according to Northwest Naturals.
Northwest Naturals advises people who purchased the recalled product to throw it away immediately and contact the store where they bought it for a full refund.
The Oregon Health Authority and local public health officials are monitoring people who lived with the infected cat for bird flu symptoms, the Oregon Department of Agriculture said.
No human cases of the bird flu have yet been linked to the incident, the department added.
Cats and dogs can catch bird flu from eating undercooked or raw meat, sick or dead infected birds or drinking unpasteurized milk, according to the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Humans can become infected if exposed to infected animals, but this is rare, the association said.
Last week, a person exposed to sick and dead birds in Louisiana became hospitalized with a severe case of H5N1, marking the first human case of severe illness linked to the virus in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Mild symptoms in humans include mild fever, sore throat, headaches, fatigue and muscle or body aches, according to the CDC. More moderate to severe symptoms include high fever, difficulty breathing or altered consciousness.
Sixty-five bird flu cases have been reported in the U.S. since April 2024, the CDC said.
Twenty big cats – including a Bengal tiger and four cougars – have died of bird flu over the past several weeks at an animal sanctuary in the state of Washington.
“This tragedy has deeply affected our team, and we are all grieving the loss of these incredible animals,” the Wild Felid Advocacy Center of Washington wrote in a post on Facebook.
The devastating viral infection, carried by wild birds, spreads primarily through respiratory secretions and bird-to-bird contact and can also be contracted by mammals that ingest birds or other products.
The sanctuary is under quarantine and is closed to the public to prevent the spread of the virus, the statement said.
The animals died between late November and mid-December, the sanctuary’s director, Mark Mathews, told the New York Times.
“We’ve never had anything like it; they usually die basically of old age,” he said. “Not something like this, it’s a pretty wicked virus.”
The news comes as bird flu continues to spread among cattle and poultry in the US, while also severely infecting at least one human.
The sanctuary said it had lost five African serval cats, four bobcats, two Canada lynx and a Bengal tiger, among others. Only 17 cats now remain at the Center.
“Cats are particularly vulnerable to this virus, which can cause subtle initial symptoms but progress rapidly, often resulting in death within 24 hours due to pneumonia-like conditions,” the sanctuary said in its Facebook statement on Friday.
Bird flu has long infected poultry flocks in the US. But the virus began to infect cattle in the US for the first time in March.
And since April 2024, there have been a total of 61 human cases of bird flu reported in the US, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The CDC says that the risk to the general public remains low, and there has been no sustained human-to-human transmission.
Most have reported mild symptoms, though one person was taken to the hospital with a severe case of bird flu in Louisiana this month.
Last week, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared an emergency over the outbreak among the state’s dairy cows to help the government have the “resources and flexibility they need to respond quickly to this outbreak”.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "...truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity--it is simply true and that is the end of it" - Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” - Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal.
