A Fall Feeling

Today's faith based cards were created for Grace Klein here in Birmingham (@grace_klein_community). This is a wonderful faith based organization that has many charitable endeavors both locally and globally. Their goal is to give out 100,000 scripture based cards this year to be included with the food, clothing and school supply boxes, etc. They want cards in bundles of 25 which is daunting to our kind of card makers but my goal is to donate 100 cards by the end of the year. If you have any questions or want to join me, please send me an email or comment on this post and I will give you the details.

I stamped the leaf cluster from the Spellbinders Fall Thoughtfulness set (Sep23 Clear Stamp & Die club) onto Copic friendly cardstock. I cut out with the matching die, then trimmed off the string portion as I wanted to add a 3d version. I attached the stamped piece with layer of craft foam onto a card stock piece cut with the largest die from the Papertrey Ink Reflections:September set. The sentiment from the Stamp Simply Fear Not set was stamped directly onto the backgroundpanel using chocolate brown ink.

Products: Spellbinders stamp and die, Simply Said stamp, Hemptique cord, Papertrey Ink and Lil Inker Designs dies, Altenew and MFT ink, Copic Markers
Copics: E07, E08, E09, E30, E31, E33, E35, YR01, YR02, YR21,YR23, YR27, Y13, Y15, Y17, Y38, G40, G43, G46, V15

In keeping with my usual, I made another card using the same stamps and dies while they were on my craft table, this time using the pumpkin cluster image. I wanted a more muted color scheme as I know so many of my cards lean toward the feminine side. The sentiment is from the Psalm Reflections: August Mini set stamped with chococolate brown ink.

Products: Spellbinders stamps and dies, PTI stamps and dies, PTI cs, Lil Inker Designs die, Altenew and MFT ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Pumpkin- YR01, YR14, YR21, YR23, YR24, E71; Leaves-G40, G43, G46, E33, E35, E37

I have to say, I found these images hard to color, especially the first one. I made a lot more mistakes than I usually do.

These cards represent #36-37 and are part of my second bundle of 25.

I am submitting these to the Word Art Wednesday Anything Goes - Weeks #667-668

and also to the October Four Seasons Challenge.

A Pure Heart

Today's two faith based cards were created for Grace Klein here in Birmingham (@grace_klein_community). This is a wonderful faith based organization that has many charitable endeavors both locally and globally. Their goal is to give out 100,000 scripture based cards this year to be included with the food, clothing, school supplies boxes, etc. They want cards in bundles of 25 which is daunting to our kind of card makers but my goal is to donate 100 cards by the end of the year. If you have any questions or want to join me, please send me an email or comment on this post and I will give you the details.

I stamped the Pretty Pink Fresh Floral Hearts stamp and and then cut out with the matching die and colored with Copic markers. I stamped the small cross from a old Technique Tuesday set onto the linen card front which was cut out with the The Greetery Nordic Frames dies. After attaching the floral heart with a layer of craft foam, I stamped the sentiment from the Stamp Simply Words of Encouragement set. A few Doodlebug sequins finished it up.

Products: Pretty Pink Posh stamp and die, Stamp Simply stamp, PTI linen cs, The Greetery die, Doodlebug sequins, Altenew ink, Copic Markers
Copics: BG000, BG01, Y13, Y15, R10, R83, YG01, YG25, E81

While the scripture stamp was on my craft table I made a second card with the same theme. I used a die from the Lawn Fawn Outside in Stitched Heart Stackables set to cut an opening from a stitched edge panel. I cut a backing panel and blended on salvaged patina distress ink and stamped the sentiment from the Stamp Simply Words of Encouragement set. The gold cross was cut using a die from the Simon Says Crosses set which apparently is retired. The flowers and leaves were cut from my scraps bag using dies from the Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms set.

These two cards represent cards #14 and #15 of my bundle of 25 (because I found 12 cards in my stash that fit the scripture requirement).

Come Near

Today's card is the first of (I hope) many faith based cards I am creating for Grace Klein here in Birmingham (@grace_klein_community). This is a wonderful faith based organization that has many charitable endeavors both locally and globally. Their goal is to give out 100,000 cards this year to be included with the food boxes, clothing etc. All cards must include a scripture and can include envelopes or not. The cards they used as an example were water colored but of course my forte is stamped images so that is what I will be using. They want cards in bundles of 25 which is daunting to our kind of card makers but I am almost done with my first bundle since I have included some cards previously completed (12 actually) so technically this is card #13).  My goal is to donate 100 cards by the end of the year. If you have any questions or want to join me, please send me an email or comment on this post and I will give you the details.

I stamped the Spellbinders Hydrangea Bouquet (Jan23 Clear Stamp & Die club) onto Copic friendly cardstock, cut out with the matching die, then colored with Copic markers. I splashed watered down shaded lilac distress ink onto the stitched panel with a fan brush, then attached the image with a layer of craft foam. The sentiment from the Stamp Simply Words of Encouragement set was stamped direct to paper using new leaf ink.

Products: Spellbinders stamp & die, Stamp Simply sentiment stamp, PTI linen cs, MFT die, Altenew, Ranger Distress and PTI ink
Copics: Flowers-BV00, BV01, BV02, RV000, RV00, RV02, R85; Leaves-YG01, YG25, YG17

I am submitting this to the Color Throwdown (#779) Challenge to include colors of pink, purple and green.

A Happy Birthday

Well obviously 2023 was a bust creative wise as I made the fewest projects/cards in my 14 years of stamping/cardmaking. According to my blog stats, 38 to be exact!  Life threw us a major curve ball last year but God is good and saw us through it all.

Today's card features a Spellbinders club stamp and die set.

I stamped the largest image from the Diamond & Arch Motif (Nov22) with Altenew ink onto Copic friendly cardstock, cut out with the matching die and colored with a combo of Copic and Altenew markers. Unfortunately there was a small flaw in the stamp but it was way too late to ask for a replacement. I covered it up with a well placed sequin.

Products: Spellbinders stamps and dies, SB and PTI cs, Picket Fence Studios sequins, Copic Markers
Copics: RV00, RV02, RV21, RV55, G40, G43, BG10, BG11, BG13
Altenew: G702, G715

I hope the new year is off to a great start for all of you. Blessings!

Merry Christmas

Todays card is my first Christmas card for the new year.

I die cut the various pieces from the Spellbinders Folk Song set from red and white cardstock and assembled them to form the sweet bird. I prepared the background by dry embossing a pink background piece with the Fan Motif November 2022 Embossing Folder of the month, then smoothed it out some by cutting it with a stitched edge die. I used the Mini Christmas Greetings Stamp and Die for the sentiment stamped with cherry kisses ink.

Products: Spellbinders stamps and dies, The Stamp Market, Bazzill and PTI cs, Spellbinders embossing folder, The Stamp Market ink

I am submitting this for the Color Hues (#56) Challenge.

Have a great weekend.

Merry Christmas

Good morning. I know November was light on projects but between my eye surgery and the death of my sweet aunt there just wasn't much time and frankly not much motivation. Not that December has been much better creatively but I need more Christmas cards so expect to see a more active blog.

I joined the Spellbinder Stamp & Die Club in the fall and today's card features the October set Wonderful Christmas for today's Christmas card. After stamping the largest image from the set onto Copic friendly cardstock, I cut out with the matching die and colored with Copic markers. I then cut and assembled the bird from the Tweet Cardinal die set. I attached the image to a stitched edge linen cardstock piece and stamped the sentiment directly onto the panel using cherry kisses ink. The bird was attached with a layer of craft foam.

Products: Spellbinders stamps and dies, PTI and The Stamp Market cs, Altenew and The Stamp Market ink, Copic Markers
Copics: Poinsettia, R20, R22, R24, R27, R29, Y13; Leaves-YG21, YG23, YG25; Berries-R22, R24; Flowers-Y00, Y11, Y21, BG0000, BG000, BG01; Pine-YG61, YG63

Thank you for stopping by. Have a blessed day.
