Texas Wildflowers and April Total Solar Eclipse

We traveled to Austin, Texas to view the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024.  There were many clouds, but we managed to get a view when it counted most!  High clouds added some fuzziness to the picture, but we were thrilled to see it.  Everyone cheered in the entire neighborhood during totality – what an experience!

It was an especially good year for wildflowers.  It was beautiful seeing the Bluebonnets, red Indian Paintbrush, and yellow sunflowers along the road.  As a treat, we saw deer grazing in the evening.  It was a quick but fun trip!
