Calvin Klein Jeans attitude – effortless urban style: a pair of blue jeans matched with the good old white T-shirt and the leather white sneakers with numerous stickers and labels…
It represents a certain attitude, a lesson in minimalism, which is not basic. This idea, deeply rooted in everyday style, stands for certain civilizational values: peace, tolerance, respect, sustainability…
Light comfortable textile black sneakers and the matched bags – the crossbody bag and the roll backpack in black CK monogram textile for small and big adventures…
Rooted in the esthetic codes of the great Kenzo Takada, Nigo’s collection for KENZO, inspired by the 1970s, has numerous aspects of both – streetwear and couture. The collection represents a true dialogue between the heritage of the maison [the silhouette of the blazers] and the contemporary ideas and needs of the young(er) generations. Certain aspects of the Japanese traditional elements, mixed with the Parisian effortless chic, seems to be the right decision.
Filmed between the lovely Alboni Square in the 16th (approaching the Passy area – my [natural] environment and the Eiffel Tower on the left bank, the campaign preserved the intellectual chic of the 16th youth and the légèreté… Bravo!

My favorite Barocco prints – Versace Jeans Couture
The famous Barocco prints were designed by Gianni Versace for the Fall Winer 1991 collection and since then, these carefully matched ornate elements became a very special, elegant and glamorous style, synonymous with the brand name.
Barocco prints are inspired by the fragments of the 1580-1750 grandeur of the overstated and dynamic Barocco style: dramatic, often exagerrated, with numerous details.
My favorite Barocco print bags and chunky leather sneakers by Versace Jeans Couture
This rich style is described as grand, sensuous, rich, dramatic, characterized by the movement, tension and tendency to blur distinction between the various arts – full of life and unhidden theatricality, compared to the still, realistic and naturalistic renaissance. I could not think of a better description of both – Barocco style and the eponymous Versace’s legendary artistic expression. For over three decades, Gianni Versace’s relation to Barocco remained unsurpassed. This may, however, produce certain level of addiction to the products, which is expectable.
It was Gianni Versace who perfectly managed to incorporate the Barocco major principles in contemporary clothes and accessories. Versace’s Barocco prints show the very strong sense of movement by using different shapes, colors, diagonals, curves and contrasted colors. Added to the graphic patterns, he introduced the endless game of beaming light and glooming shadows of the dark shades (“gold and black”), which was another common feature with the Barocco style. Impressive and timeless, a true style in the contemporary fashion.
Gianni Versace managed to transpose the essential Barocco elements and reinterpret them in the ‘pop-art’ manner, without the religious aspects from the 17th / 18th century, combining the elements with the repetitive patterns, like chains and meanders, borders built of continuous lines or combining them with the recognizable brand elements – the famous Medusa head. Like Barocco, Versace’s recognizable style was the real artistic, coded style, which became the visual style throughout the entire world.
Donatella Versace once said: “Baroque is a key element of the Versace history. And yet it is contemporary, and works for this moment in time. Baroque brings drama, but to make it modern I kept the line very clean, and used ‘pop’ colours.”
I selected the bags, the chunky sneakers matched with the black polos / T-shirts and jeans, with the accessories from Versace Jeans Couture, with one of my favorite Versace’s scent for men: Eros, EDP pour homme, the so called “Il profumo”.
