I’M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

6 Jan

Sorry everyone I haven’t blog recently. I have a good reason. See my mortal enemy, Bloodstone, challenged me to an all out war. I had to fought off demons, zombies, (different zombies then my adorable mutant zombie bunnies)and worst of all politicians. I claimed victory, but I can’t tell you how I did it since I was force to use illegal use of magic. The only reason I’m not in jail is because I swore never to tell it’s secret and I would do community service by helping orphan baby dragons for the next fifty years.. Dragon fire by the way is really hot! I don’t see why the government is so worried about me telling the Secret (not the book), that magic put me in a coma! I barely manage to be awake for Christmas! I’m back though with more reviews, countdowns, and all things magical. By the way if you see a horse face girl with blood dripping out of her mouth. Let me know. I have feeling this won’t be the last time I have seen Bloodstone!

How To Care For Mutant Zombie Bunnies

1 Aug

I have recently became the caregiver of a group of mutant zombie bunnies. I don’t how, I just passed while I was enrage about The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. being canceled and when I woke up they were sitting right next to me about to eat my head. Despite the rough start and the increase money I now spend on Shampoo having them as pet has been enjoyable. However just like with any pet, it can be a difficult job. So I thought I make this how to guide in case anyone else wanted to adopt mutant zombie bunnies.  Better be safe then sorry.

Words of Fear and Hope

25 Jul

Hi, Amethyst Witch here. I’m going to take a moment to write to you guy serious for this post. This is kind of a selfish post I admit, I have had some thoughts about the Aurora Colorado shooting going around in my head for the last few days. I wasn’t actually going to write anything about it because I’m not an expert about these things, and I honestly can say I don’t have the answers about the questions I think we have all been thinking about these last few days, but I changed my mind because  all these feelings have been boiling inside of me, and the only way I know how address them is through my writing. As writer I have a duty to express my writing so not only will it help me, but so that it might help others who are feeling the same things as me so they know they aren’t alone, and that maybe I can help them. So I after talking with Nova D and Rebellare I have decide to post this.

First of all, I want to express my sympathies for the victims of the shooting, and to their families.  I don’t know that if that mean anything really because I can’t really imagine what they are going through. I try, and like a coward I quickly back out of that mindset because it becomes too painful to imagine losing someone I love whether they’re a family member or friend. Just thinking about it is too painful for me so I honestly can’t imagine how they feel right now. I wish I had real magic or power to help them, but I’m human just like everyone else on Earth with no control over things such as this.

I haven’t been watching the news a lot about this tragedy to be honest. Mainly because I don’t want to see how the media was going to use this to further their own agendas whether they are Republicans or Democrats. However, the wonderful world of the internet doesn’t really allow people to become ignorant of major tragic events such as these. Even when I was checking out my facebook page there were comments about what happened. I did watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report so I did see how they responded to this event that as close to the news media as I want to get to be honest. I have heard debates online about gun control, the legal system, the Batman movie being the cause of the whole thing somehow, and even the talk of banning of costumes at movie theaters.

All these issues made me think about fear, and how we have dealt with that fear. We have some tragic events in our country before, and often when talking about these events in order to prevent such awful things from happening again I have found often the solutions everyone wants to use are band aid solutions as I call them. People say “If all guns were banned then we wouldn’t have events such as these” or “If there were no violence in movies then people wouldn’t do this” or “If we did have media that made everything into a big deal when something awful happens then awful things wouldn’t happen.” I know why people do this. It’s not because they are stupid. It’s because they want a solution. A nice simple solution that will guarantee things being good. If it was a simple as banning guns or making all movies as friendly as Disney to keep  events like this from happening I would be all for that!  I don’t want bad things to happen to people. I love to hear about good things happening to people. Even if those people are strangers to me because good things bring a smile to my face, and there is not enough smiles in the world.

However, these solutions don’t really help. They are just band aids for problems that are a lot bigger such as how families raise us, how society treats people, how our culture works, or even how a person’s mind works.  There are so many factors that go into one person’s mind when they make choices that it’s really impossible to control what a person will and will not do. Even in a total dictatorship government they couldn’t really control everyone, because not everyone does things the same way. We should be talking about these things, and the band aids solution do show something about the symptoms of the problems. I’m not saying they aren’t worth talking about. I think though, as a country need to realize that there are no easy solutions. There are no easy answers to these problems. It’s only when we accept that can we really get an understanding on how to solve these problems. It’s my fear that we won’t accept that because to accept that truth would mean that there is no real control over what happens tomorrow or next month or even what happens to us ten years from now. If we live in fear of that truth though we become controlled by it, and that’s not living. There is no life when one is in fear of it.

It’s my hope, however, that we will have the courage to face these problems head on. So that we can become a better country and even a  better world. That we will come together to comfort each other, to grieve with each other, to give courage to each other, and to have hope for the future.

22 Jul

With all the bad shows on TV that simple won’t die ,why is it that often goods shows are the ones that get the axe from networks? It’s just doesn’t make sense! My Ten Songs To Inspire Girls Up

15 Jul

Hey, Amethyst Witch here. This is my first post, and I wanted to make it really special.  So I was thinking something that would be inspiring, which lead me to thinking about music.  This lead me to think about songs that talk about girls. Let’s be honest being a girl, it is never easy. No matter what age, race, sexuality, size, religion, class, or anything else society wants to judge you on it’s never easy. Sometimes it might even feel like  the whole world is against you. In those times of despair there is only thing to do, turn your radio or computer up to dance your heart away! Here is a secret truth for all you girls. All that bullshit about school, popularity, what is in and what out, the right kind of fashion, money, or any other thing that makes you unhappy I can honestly tell you that is not going to matter in the long run of your life. It seem like times it does, but it doesn’t. What matters is how to express you are, and anything that takes away from that you, just forget about it. There will be people who say that those shallow things are important, but they have already lost their own identity if they really believe that. Here at Nerdettes Unite we are going to be all about celebrate what makes us unique and to help you guys celebrate who you are we are going to get this party started with the top ten songs to inspire you.
