Seeing Ellie’s room for the first time, I’ll be honest, I was excited to tackle it! Ellie has a twin brother, and they’ve always shared a room, so this is her very first space of her own, decorated just for her, sweet and girly. The 90’s walls, tricky window angles, and soaring ceilings were a bit intimidating at first, but I love a good challenge… and this one turned out to be so much fun! Star Tile Bathroom Refresh and biggest house regret- Tile Mistakes!!
I have one big regret with our remodel. Tile, and it all comes down to installation. We remodeled our entire home about 5 years ago. We added a second floor, basically took every wall down to the framing. We loved a lot about the house, but cosmetically it was stuck in the 80's and needed new electrical. All that being said there was a lot happening at once. Sharing my experience, in hopes it helps you! Also sharing a bathroom I just refreshed and fell back in love with. Plant Food and My Top Plant Tips
I love my houseplants so much. Most of my decor is in the form of a plant. I like that they add life to a room. NASA researchers have done studies on the best, and most efficient ways to clean the air in space stations. The conclusion, they recommend 15-18 plants for an 1800 square foot home. Basically 1 plant for every 100 square feet. Some studies have debunked that theory, and claim we need 10-100 plants per square foot of home. Either way, we need plants and that is math I can get behind. Plants can absorb toxins through their leaves and serve as a natural way to filter the ... Read More
Bedding- Winter Bedding and Favorite Bedding Sources
Sharing all the beds I have made in 2025, along with the sources. I follow the basic formula when I make any bed, it might change a little but they always have a unique set of sheets, a charming quilt layered at the end, and always a duvet. A quality duvet is what gives your bed the fluffy look. A quality duvet shouldn’t make you feel hot, this organic duvet insert (in extra) is my favorite, I use it on every bed we makeover. Fireplace Remodel- Modern to Cozy Cottage with Story Tiles
When we remodeled our 1950's home 5 years ago, there were a lot of decisions to make and I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do with the fireplace in our family room and bedroom. Inspiration hadn't come and I didn't focus on it. So we just had our gas insert framed in. We ended up having leftover tile from our bathroom floor, we had it added to the fireplace surround. It was fine. I never loved it. I wanted more shape to the framing and just let it be. Fast forward to a couple months ago I verbalized to Kevin that I didn't love the fireplaces and wanted to change them up. He was onboard and ... Read More
