The gilded white mare
ascends the painted vertical
to take you on your journey
and seat you in her saddle
with flowers in her hair
through galaxies inimical
around and round you’re turning
enchanting wonders magical
galloping through air
chasing lions invincible
black stallion astride her flying
wings spread like glorious lightning
