Facilitator Spotlight 📍

Introducing the Nigerian Leadership & Equity Fellowship (NLEF). The Nigerian Leadership & Equity Fellowship (NLEF) is a fully virtual, two-month fellowship created to empower adolescent girls and young women across the seven North-West states of Nigeria. NLEF is designed to nurture the next generation of young women leaders by strengthening their leadership capacity, confidence, civic participation, creativity, and ability to drive positive change in their communities. Through leadership development, specialized learning, mentorship, and networking, Fellows will have the opportunity to learn, connect, grow, and build lasting relationships with other young women passionate about creating meaningful impact. We are excited to introduce the Community Health Champions Program, an initiative designed to empower young people across Northwest Nigeria with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to promote health literacy and drive positive health action in their communities. The program will bring together passionate young people who are committed to community health, advocacy, leadership, and social impact, equipping them to become trusted voices for healthier communities. Through learning, community engagement, and evidence-driven action, the Community Health Champions will help bridge the gap between communities and essential health information and services. We were honored to welcome the European Union (EU) team to our office in Kano State, Nigeria, during their project evaluation visit. As an implementing partner of the @International Organization for Migration (IOM), this visit provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on our progress, share lessons learned, and demonstrate the impact of our collaborative efforts in strengthening communities. We appreciate the @EU and IOM for their continued partnership and commitment to supporting sustainable, community-driven development.
