Fun with Mom and Dad!

I had a great time with my parents in town.  We went on an awesome hike, car show, football game (GO COUGS!!), jam making, and some good eats too! I loved having them in town! They are always so much fun. To add to the fun we were able to meet up with the Molter’s for dinner and had a great time! All and all it was a fantastic weekend and went by way too fast!

The Piney Woods!

Anchor and I went camping this weekend at the spring valley camp in Idaho. It was a fun adventure! I haven’t camped in about 5 years or so… and Anchor has never been, so we were both feeling like noobs!
We backpacked in not very far and found a perfect spot to set up camp right along the reservoir. The first morning around 7am a deer came sprinting through our camp and ran into my little one man tent collapsing the front part of my tent! It was pretty funny and totally fixable! It just knocked out the front stake that held my tent up… I thought the dogs ran into my tent wrestling around, boy was I wrong!
We chilled out in camp and played along the reservoir shoreline. Second night there was coyotes howling and thunderstorms! The thunderstorms didn’t last too long thankfully because Anchor is not a fan! However I am a fan, I think they’re fun!

MAUI with the Family!

I was able to go to Maui this summer to see my brother and sister that live there. It was SO much fun. My parents and my other sister came too, which made it a total blast! It was so much fun hanging with both of my sisters.  My brother and sister definitely showed us a great time! We did everything from surfing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, jumping off waterfalls, being with family, beaching it and celebrated my nephew David’s 1st Birthday!!! He had an awesome Bday party at the Wailea hotel restaurant, which is a beautiful hotel and the restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere as well. The restaurant is called HUMUHUMUNUKUNUKUAPUAA… try to say that five times fast or just try to say it once… 😉 It’s the name of the state fish which I believe is a trigger fish.  At any rate thank you Megan and Aaron for showing us a great time! I love how much fun my family is!

Congrats Caleb!

Caleb graduated from basic training this summer. I was able to go out there for his Basic graduation.  It was really a fun adventure being able to go to family day and graduation day.  They had fun ceremonies for each event and thankfully the ceremonies were not too long because we were all EXTREMELY anxious to see our soldiers! I was able to spend the whole day with Caleb on both days.  It was the best thing ever!!! It felt like it had been SO SO long and I cherished every moment I was able to have with him before he left for his AIT training.

Family Reunion June 2013

Per usual a Chesley family gathering is always epic, total chaos, loud and crazy fun! Dashed with a few tears here and there 😉  This years was in Park City, Utah at the Deer Valley Club.  We spent plenty of time turning into prunes at the pool and jacuzzzz (my personal fave).  We had fun adventures throughout the week and the weather was perfect!

My Mom’s dreams came true with a family pic of almost all of us, minus 10… the photographer would have had to put it on panoramic if the other 10 were here!Image

Killed it on 2 hikes! One to Mt. Timpanogos in 104 degree heat… It was a gorgeous hike and the caves were truly a sight to see and a welcoming 45 degrees! I think I almost cooled down by the end of the cave tour… maybe. 😉

Welcome Back Mom And Dad!

I was able to have a wonderful long weekend with my parents, family and friends in San Diego.  My parents just returned from their LDS mission in New Zealand. I loved hearing all their stories and experiences they had while they served there. It sounds like their lives were truly enriched by being able to serve The Lord for the last year and half. Their homecoming talks were really special and I’m grateful I could be there to hear it in our home ward, which I hadn’t been back to in 6 years.  It was a ton of fun seeing so many familiar faces that had a huge impact on my life as a youth there in Laguna Beach. As well as seeing old friends that happened to be there, totally a pleasant surprise.

My bestie Jill and I had a blast! I took her surfing for her first time and she did awesome! I was impressed by her go for it attitude towards a difficult sport.  And I believe she may have a new found respect for how challenging surfing can be and tiring 😉  It felt so good to be back in Southern California and to surf! I have missed surfing and the beach, THEREFORE I soaked up every ounce of sunshine, sand and ocean as I could. I also consumed as much delicious Mexican food as I could and In-N-Out naturally!  All and all it was a much needed trip and I loved every second.  There’s nothing like going home and being with family. Can’t wait to go back.

Thanksgiving!

Caleb and I went to Utah for Thanksgiving to be with Kulani and Garrett’s families. We had such a good time! The weather was awesome, the food was delicious and it was the best being able to see family!!!! I’m so glad we got the chance to visit and can’t wait to go back again sometime. I am clearly missing photos of a lot people that were part of the fun that week. As it is I stole some of these from Kulani, so hopefully others have some to share because I did not take enough!

Kulani and I made baked apples. Here is Caleb diggin’ into some yummy apple!

Paintings to Pay Tuition!!!

Hello all,

My husband has one semester left of his undergraduate degree and is not eligible for Financial aid.  We are both working and saving our pennies since we will be paying for his last semester out-of-pocket! Our goal is to hit our needed amount in time for the next semester which starts in January.  I’m hoping to help ensure that we meet our goal in time by selling my art and commissioning pieces! All moneys will go towards my husbands tuition.

Feel free to browse away at pieces I have for sale and past commissioned pieces. If you see something you like and want a piece similar to it, let me know! I can do a painting in whatever size and color scheme you find appealing.  Shipping is available for an additional $12-$18 depending on size of the canvas. All paintings are acrylic, sides are painted with no staples showing on sides and a protective glossy coat varnish to protect surface from fading and sun damage. If you order soon completion would be done in time for Christmas, also artwork makes for great gifts and would look awesome on you own wall!!

Slide show shows all the pieces I’ve done. Photo’s below slide show is artwork for sale.
