We are holding a summit about the end of life of offshore steel on a ship that was given a second life rather than scrapped 🚢 The ss Rotterdam, former flagship of the Holland America Line, permanently berthed at Katendrecht. Conference, exhibition, gala dinner and the delegate hotel, all under one roof. She was built at RDM, on the other side of the Maas. The same yard built submarines. There is a version of this industry where everything gets cut up and there is another where some of it gets a second life. We thought the venue should make the argument.
