Konstantin von Weberg
I am an author, editor, layout designer, cover designer and e-book formatter – in short: a one-man literary enterprise. All of my novels and short stories have been researched, written, edited and designed by me personally, from the first draft to the final published version.
During proofreading, I was supported by a trusted acquaintance and by ChatGPT, whose honesty occasionally stung – but always served the text. The technical side – converting Word manuscripts into print-ready formats and EPUB files – was also handled by me. My relationship with table formatting and automatic line breaks has since become… let’s say: complicated. Title pages and book covers? Designed by myself. Publishing on Amazon? Naturally. If you’re going to do it, do it properly.
Family, friends and colleagues describe me as a reliable partner and a patient listener. With many years of experience as an engineer in industry, I combine analytical thinking with technical precision – and a good sense of humor. I write stories that move, entertain and sometimes linger long after the final page.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
During the writing process, artificial intelligence was used exclusively for spelling and grammar checks. The idea, style, content and narrative voice originate entirely from the author. The design of the book covers and title pages was created without the use of artificial intelligence. Some images and illustrations were generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence and subsequently edited by the author.

Information about the books
When the Tokay Calls – Short Stories from Southeast Asia
German original title: Wenn der Gecko ruft – Kurzgeschichten aus Südostasien
Atmospheric stories full of warmth and realism. These short stories draw the reader straight into the heart of life in Southeast Asia—far removed from postcard clichés and glossy tourist images. With great sensitivity, the author portrays encounters, everyday moments, and human destinies that touch the soul, invite reflection, and occasionally bring a quiet smile.
What stands out most is the authenticity: as you read, you can feel the heat of the streets, smell the food from roadside stalls, and experience the culture through the eyes of the people who live there. The stories feel honest and unpretentious—and precisely because of that, deeply moving. Anyone interested in other ways of life, or simply looking for well-told, deeply human stories, will find great pleasure in this book. Each chapter is its own journey—perfect for a quick escape, to unwind, or simply to immerse yourself in tropical worlds.
A Full Life – Marie-Luise On Her Way is a charming and poignant coming-of-age story set in the vibrant heart of 1980s West Berlin. Amid the backdrop of a divided city, young Marie-Luise Konrad embarks on a journey filled with adventure, heartache, romance, and self-discovery. With fierce determination and an unshakable spirit, she carves her own path through life—boldly, passionately, and entirely on her own terms.
A Full Life – Marie-Luise on Her Way
German original title: Das pralle Leben – Marie-Luise geht ihren Weg
This book is more than just a story – it’s a slice of life. Some parts are made up, others are based on true events, and a few things I’ve experienced myself or heard along the way.
Chopper-Bikes and Bell-Bottoms
German original title: Bonanzarad und Schlaghosen
The newly released English edition! Fully revised, sharper, funnier—and truer to the original than ever before.
“They say the dog’s buried in Hesse”—a place so dull, nothing ever happens. But small-town life in 1970s Hesse was anything but boring. In the very region where the Brothers Grimm once collected their tales, ten-year-old Jasper tells of chaos, charm, and quiet wonder in this humorous and heartfelt coming-of-age story.
Told in Jasper’s candid, witty, and sometimes heart-wrenching voice, this nostalgic coming-of-age story captures the chaos, humor, and quiet magic of growing up in a time before smartphones, safety helmets, or sugar-free drinks. For fans of heart, humor, and stories that stay with you—long after the last page.
Sixteen days — as a prisoner — in a godforsaken, hot and run-down Asian Police Station. The German engineer Thomas Heger is arrested during his vacation in the Philippines. What is he accused of and how do five little Filipino boys and their parents fit into the story? Are the accusations against the German justified? Where does the truth end and where does the fantasy begin? Who is the victim and who is the perpetrator? And who are the outrageous people who immediately start making money with Heger?
Journey into Disaster – Book 1 of 2
German original title: Reise ins Verderben
The series ‚Journey to Disaster‘ consists of books 1 and 2. This is a novel based on true but unbelievable events. Deeply researched, brutally honest. Not for the faint of heart. A real thriller.
