This is why I love Utah.

The gorgeous fall mountains. Enough said.
Brooke, Karissa & I decided to go on a Sunday afternoon picnic and invited our good friends Dustin, Mark & Adam to join us. It was well worth the 4 hour adventure. Our friend Jake introduced us to the back side of Rock Canyon a few months ago...(take the Squaw Peak road, when you come to the fork instead of going right to Squaw Peak look out, you take a LEFT which takes you to the back side. The road continues & ends at Hobble Creek canyon/Springville.) Highly recommend taking this route. Absolutely beautiful.

Kickin' it in the HCH

Worked my first shift at Huntsman today. I will be orienting on the surgical floor for about a month before I'm on my own. Boy was it busy. Arrival time 6:53 am. First bathroom break 3:00pm. Lunch break 3:30pm. Departure time 8:00pm. Despite the business/craziness, I had a really good day. First of all, I get to care for one of the best group of people--oncology (cancer) patients. I just love them. They have the best attitudes, are so kind and humble and teach me so much about life and having hope. Second, I felt so welcomed by the staff. Immediately I felt at home which is so hard when you are new. Third, I have the great opportunity to work at a hospital that is nationally recognized and is the designated cancer center for five states in the Intermountain West. It has a wonderful reputation in research and patient care. Plus it is like working in an elegant hotel. Super super nice. And a killer view. Fourth ,"The Point Bistro" located on the top floor. This will become the home of many lunch breaks :)

Jumping on the Bandwagon.

So I caved. I can now say with much enthusiasm (sarcasm noted), "Yes I have a blog, check it out!". For many years I have avoided this. Initially my thoughts were blogs are stupid, a way for people to brag about their lives (in annoying ways), etc. but I will have you know, my attitude has changed and I no longer 100% feel this way. I have now found myself looking at all my friend's/family's/co-worker's blogs with the occasional stalking of randoms because I actually really enjoy it! Whether it's reality or my own misconception, it seemed for a while there, it was just the married folk who had the blogs. And because I don't quite fit in that category, I always just assumed I'd get a blog when I got married. But why not start one now?! Hence the reason I am here. A lot of change has happened in my life recently as well as to a lot of people I know so this is the perfect opportunity to keep up with everyone's lives & hopefully provide some entertainment for all of you. Enjoy!
