NYT ad is reprehensible & wrong. @SusanRice has tirelessly fought for human rights & for the state of Israel. I thank her for her service.

Ad in NYT is vile and contemptible and has no place in legitimate discourse. Susan Rice is owed an apology.

Ad in today's NYT slandering Susan Rice is wrong on the facts -- she's a fierce defender of human rights and Israel's security.

Susan Rice has been and remains a great defender of human rights globally. I strongly reject tasteless ad in NYT impugning her service.

TPM: Zuckerberg Calls Obama To Discuss ‘Frustration’ With NSA Surveillance
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said on Thursday that he phoned President Obama to urge reforms to the government’s surveillance practices. “The US government should be the champion for the internet, not a threat. They need to be much more transparent about what they’re doing, or otherwise people will believe the worst,”Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post. “I’ve called President Obama to express my frustration over the damage the government is creating for all of our future. Unfortunately, it seems like it will take a very long time for true full reform.”

CNN (April, 2010): On the driveway right outside the White House briefing room, a place where President Barack Obama rarely strolls during public hours, CNN caught a rare and personal exchange between the first couple.
Flanked by Secret Service agents and personal aide Reggie Love, Obama spotted his wife near the West Wing entrance and tried to get her attention. “Hey FLOTUS,” he shouted, then added, “I was just looking for you.”
The president joked, “Stop it guys, I haven’t seen my wife in a while.”
The first lady, who seemed poised to deliver an affectionate greeting, was thwarted when the president said, “Let’s not do this in front of the cameras.”
Instead they held hands and walked together into the West Wing like a married couple that had not seen each other since one of them made a quick jaunt to Prague to sign a new nuclear arms treaty.
Thank you Dia 😉

BBC: President Barack Obama has said he enjoys golf in large part because a game is the only way he can escape outdoors for hours at a time. He said he misses the trappings of ordinary life – weekend lie-ins, trips to the market and walks in the park. “I just want to go through Central Park and watch folks passing by,” he told Hearst newspapers. “I miss that.”
Mr Obama’s security bubble precludes much privacy and spontaneity … “I miss being anonymous. I miss Saturday morning, rolling out of bed, not shaving, getting into my car with my girls, driving to the supermarket, squeezing the fruit, getting my car washed, taking walks. I can’t take a walk.”
He said he loves his life at the White House but does not enjoy the “kabuki dance” of Washington DC partisan politics.
As to golf, Mr Obama rejected suggestions he is fanatical about the game, saying: “It’s the only excuse I have to get outside for four hours at a stretch.”
