This is the moment Minneapolis Police fired on our CBS News crew with rubber bullets. As you can see, no protesters anywhere near us- we all were wearing credentials and had cameras out. Our sound engineer was hit in the arm. #cbsnewspic.twitter.com/UAy7HYhGnL
Spike Lee said that when Do The Right Thing came out, a lot of critics thought it irresponsible to show Mookie throw a trash can through the window of Sal's pizzeria bc it would encourage riots...but they had far less to say about the cops choking Radio Raheem to death 🤷🏿♂️

This is Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer talking about the history of racial terror lynchings of Black people and how some Black people responded, specifically protesting, looting, and rioting. This is from a documentary, “Heritage Of Slavery” (1968). pic.twitter.com/xelste3pPW
Yesterday's protests in Los Angeles and Minneapolis make it clear that people are rightfully hurting over George Floyd's death. We need swift accountability.
The officer who killed George Floyd must be arrested for murder and every officer involved must be held accountable.
This will guide our reporting in MN. “While the situation on the ground in Minneapolis is fluid, and there has been violence, it is most accurate at this time to describe what is happening there as "protests"--not riots.”
