Temporary

While driving in the car, my boys started talking about teasing. Then Roger said, "I hate it when people tease me."
A little alarmed, I asked if he's been teased.
"Yes, a lot."
What!! How could I have not known this. Who has been teasing my child! So I asked him who teases him.
"Mostly William, he teases a lot."
Hahaha, yes, William is a little teaser.

Then Roger commented that he hoped that Evelyn doesn't get teased when she is older. I agreed with him, told him how I hope that people look at her as a person, not as something that is just different.
Grant piped in, " They're not going to tease her, unless they find out that she had M-CM when she was younger!"

I may need to give him a refresher course on what a genetic syndrome is and how long it effects your life. But I do love his optimism and his faith that everything is going to be okay.

Even though Grant is mistaken that M-CM is not something that Evee will grow out of, he is correct that it is something that she will not have forever.
We have an Elder Brother, Jesus Christ, who went through a lot of pain and sacrifices so that we can be Resurrected. In our own Resurrection, we will not have the imperfect, mortal bodies we have now, but we will have perfect bodies, free from pain and sickness.
When Evelyn is Resurrected she may still look the same (for maybe the M-CM look is the perfect look - I think it's pretty adorable), but her body will function perfectly. She will be strong, walk without any hard effort, and be able to breathe and speak on her own.
Yes, her condition may be permanent in the world's terms, but in God's plan, in the Eternal scheme of things, her condition is only temporary.
