I long for what home stood for a long time ago. Changes have metastasized so quickly it is hard to hold on to memories. People are busy and sometimes even lost trying to reinvent themselves as their world falls apart. We have found ourselves stumbling along into a new and foreign world looking for something familiar to connect to, but at the moment the world is too crazy to even try to connect to it. It’s best to step back, get quiet and take notice of the things that truly matter in life. Are people beginning to feel and realize the emptiness materialism brings to ones life? Things often become meaningless so we check out of reality and disconnect to save our souls. I am hoping as things become more unstable and more challenging to manage, we will learn the true value of caring for and helping one another as they do for us as well. We are not here to be separated from each other because of Gender, Race, Religion Social standing, or whatever! Home is not just the house we grew up in, it is the people in the community all around us, our neighbors who we wave to everyday, it’s memories of childhood and life experiences.
Home is feeling comfortable with who we are, liking who we are and always having a sense of being able to rely on ourselves, trust ourselves, share ourselves with others. This is where our time and energy should be spent, not being forced to work 9-5 everyday disconnected from engaging with life just to survive. I believe a lot of the life altering issues we are facing right now, as difficult as they are, may bring us closer to going home again, to appreciating our lives and tending to them with love and gratitude. We must not allow the distorted movie called life playing out before us all to hijack our focus and determination away from discovering our journey back home! We just have to realize home is within each of us, we must release all of the garbage and lies we have been told and find the courage to journey within ourselves to get there. I wish us all good luck! Welcome Home ❤
Blessings and love to all…..VK
