There were prayers for Christchurch and junior choir made cards to send to New Zealand. Henry came to play as they go to Ireland tomorrow for Joe's 80th. I actually fixed a new handle on the grill pan. To South London interfaith group AGM at Royal Trinity Hospice. Interesting video about Compassionate neighbours. I am to be coopted onto the committee. Rizwan gave me a lift to Hyderi mosque where there was a very heated debate about security and much else in the wake of the Christchurch tragedy.At Hyderi mosque last night a letter from their neighbours was read out. In its simplicity it said so much. A Jewish lady spoke movingly of why she had come to the meeting. To those who tried to disrupt the meeting and attack Zionism I say not all Jews are Zionists. Many Jews deplore Israeli actions. So ...

Interfaith

No swim but Mass.  Went to South London interfaith group lunch and spoke about Safe Passage, Christians and interfaith in Jerusalem and Grenfell Tower memorial service Watched The Crown = shocked by Duke of Windsor revelations. Spoke to Ann. Masterchef professional final. 

Grenfell Tower

Swam and Mass. Grenfell Tower memorial service from St Paul's is going to be very moving. Be still my soul and Fr Gerard Skinner and representative from the mosque carrying the Grenfell banner. St Paul's service beautiful and very moving especially the children. Giles Fraser on this old heart of mine radio 4. To Design museum to see Beazley designs of the year (I voted for a new typeface for all languages),Ferrari and Jon Snow ties. Tea and mince pie at Marks.  Prof Frank Clooney SJ brilliant on 4 Jesuits in India at Heythrop. Good to see old friends.Michael Redman, Sylvia MacDonald, Fr Malachy.  

Victoria Falls

Woke 4.30 a.m. dreaming about St Mark's Yeoville people Mrs Wilson and little old ladies who liked chatting to me! Strange how African nights bring back faces from the past the Gordons, Heather Brokenshire, Mum and Dad, Vi and Brien - all gone to glory. Was Killor right to link the zebra mother to my dream about Mum with black and white striped hair? I think so. Leg hurting a bit. Read 500 emails. Sent one to Rob and Ann. Breakfast very good delicious pancake saw Jim, Liz and Ryan from the train last night. Walked to the Falls and took the scenic route but not such great views. War memorial and zebras and giraffe in hotel grounds.  To helicopter which was fantastic 20 minute flight - along the gorge is incredibly exciting. Fantastic views over the falls - amazing. Truly the flight of angels. Bought the video and made one of Liz playing the marimba. Got cash and to clinic foot not as warm and wound clearing up well. Lunch with Castle lager by the pool. Had a sleep and to activity...
