An update of sorts

A random warm, sunny day. Gotta enjoy 'em while you can!

this baby was rather interesting!

little 16-month-old from dismantling it

My "aunt" Vikki snuggling Maya. Her daughter
passed away in Seattle so a bunch of the family
was in town. It was very sad circumstances but
good to be able to see all of them!

We had to go downtown to get a furnace part, so the girls and I took a spur of the moment trip to OMSI (we got a membership long ago and it got used this day!). There is a room full of these blue balls for kids to play with and do random engineering type things and Maya filled her shirt with them, sent them down the ramp, collected them at the bottom, and started again. After about 3 rounds she said that room was boring and wanted to do something else.

She loves this area, where you move large lego type blocks back and forth, mimicking shipping containers coming off a barge. Unforunately we couldn't stay long because I kept having to chase Addison!

They had fun in the water area. Addison got soaked despite the cute little apron!

And that is a brief catch up on our not-all-that-exciting lives!

Nana and Papa (my parents) came to visit, but we failed to take pictures. Oops. We're going to Georgia to visit in about 6 weeks, so we'll be sure to get some then!

Hilarious

Please excuse the shaky cinematography. I was laughing so hard.

genius

don't mind her irreverent laughing part way through. Thank you to her awesome preschool for teaching her this!

September and October

Addison had fun in a bouncy house at a Labor
Day party a family from Jared's work had

Addison with a belated ball birthday present

Addison doing her "sucky sucky" at swap&play- she sucks her
lips and holds her ear when tired or comforting herself. This
is one of her cute birthday outfits from our friend, Trista

My poor abused baby. She got 3 boo boos (if you look closely
there are bruises on both cheeks) within 2 days of each other.
She was rather unsteady and clumsy when first walking!

Maya's blue hair. She was Bo on the Go

Dorothy with her nice forehead scab

Bo on the Go with her "power band" on her arm

I was doing dishes one day and kept hearing the piano, which is
nothing strange because Addison can reach it and occasionally
hits a few keys. I finally went out to check on her and she was
having a grand time unloading the diaper bag

painting at swap&play. Addison painted the bench

Maya brought "Ellie" for her show and tell.
Her teacher said she did a great job!

Addison trying on my shades. For those judging me for
having my toddler in an infant seat still- it goes to 30 lbs
and 32 inches. She was 29 inches and 21 lbs two months
ago, so I doubt she's outgrown it yet!

Hayride for Maya's fieldtrip! It was at Liepold Farms if you care
to google. :) We also did a clausterphobia inducing dark hay
maze and a corn maze

They rode and rode and rode this carousel. Addison was not
happy when Maya wanted to share a horse. Love that face!

Addison in her cute Halloween outfit at storytime

Her favorite part of storytime is the scarves!

peekaboo!

love Addison's face

she's screaming but you can see her cute dress!

beautiful Maya Gracey Face!

chunkamonk and her cloth diaper stuffed into
too small pants. :) [we're in the process of
switching to cloth to save money!]

Maya gave me a caption for this picture as she peeks over my
shoulder: "Look! That's me when it's almost bedtime!"

don't worry, I wasn't giving my kids salmonella! Pumpkin+
cake mix+ water makes a yummy cupcake!

Maya's first day of preschool

Yes, I am well aware my child looks a slight bit ridiculous.

I got Maya these skirt/pant combos at wal-mart. They rang up as "skegging"s. (hahahahaha!) She, of course, being a little girl (who is obsessed with pink and all that jazz), loves them. They are her special school clothes. She has them in purple and black, as well. I got her a few shirts, too, and this is the one she chose to wear, along with her "princess shoes" (they have Disney princesses on them, and they light up, so they're extra cool).

I am not a pro at photography and we were in a hurry. The shadows suck, and I cropped out the newspapers on the porch as best I could. :)
Outside her school. She booked it on in and hardly looked back!
She's a total momma's girl so I was almost offended! :)
Maya has been loving school. She goes twice a week and I think it's been great for her!
