The above is an excellent video about finding success in life by Dan Martell. (Note: I just stumbled upon it today). Although there have been many of such people offering tips, I found this unique in that it’s suggesting we DO NOT practice certain things to pave the way to success. Of the 7 suggestions offered, I found the following 4 resonated with me as in my energy healing practice (Reiki), I have received similar advice from angelic beings to convey to my clients!

1) Don’t spend time with people who suck your energy – Dan labels such people as ‘energy vampires’ e.g. people who only call us when they need our help but not when we are in need of assistance ourselves. A friend who only asks for help but never returns a favour is not someone we ought to have and so he suggested we create a Friendventory – by auditing the list of people whom we prefer to have around us.

[ Note: Interestingly, within the community of energy healers around the world, there’s a term called ‘psychic vampires’ which bears the same meaning as ‘energy vampires’. When people are willing to help, their energy is literally being drained by the party requesting for it. Scientists concur that everything or every being is literally made up of subtle energy, so it’s no fiction that a human’s life force can be siphoned off by another.]

2) Don’t blame anyone or anything for your situation – Dan explains that when we blame others, we lose the ability to control the situation. Blaming is another way of giving away our power. He reminds us that we have the ability to shape our reality.

[ Note : There have been numerous cases whereby my clients blamed others for their dilemma. They truly look weak and feel disempowered. The angels often would tell me that these people have weak solar plexus chakra – the energy vortice that is located around our stomach. This often leads to weak digestion system or poor appetite. In my healing circle, we call this ‘Victim Consciousness’. 3) Don’t be a prisoner to your devices – Dan gives an example of people putting off matters by spend hours scrolling on hand phones. He stresses that our focus and productivity is greatly affected by doing so.

[ Note: A few years back Archangel Raziel explained to me that our hand phones have a detrimental effect on our 3rd eye chakra – the energy vortice (at the forehead) that is often associated with ‘inner sight’ or intuition. ]

4) Don’t compare yourself to anyone but yourself – Dan surmises that all comparison does is that it makes people feel depressed. He says that the only person he’s competing against is himself from yesterday. By constantly comparing, we are ignoring our own uniqueness and robs our own potential.

[ Note : That new astrological age that is upon us is the Age of Aquarius. This speaks of self-empowerment. The angels have often spoken about the importance of loving others and self-love. Each human soul is a unique fragment or expression of Source/Creator/God. That’s why the angelic beings do not judge us. Also they don’t possess the ego issues that humans have to deal with. When we meditate, go within and focus on our heart centre, we will come to the realisation of such. Self matters! ]
