Christmas Morning

I still have a lot of posts to go, but I'm about blogged out. Here's a preview of what's to come:

I just can't imagine what could better than two sweet boys on Christmas morning. (Well, maybe 2 sweet boys and a baby girl... but I think I'm going to have to hang that one up!) Anyway, this had to have been our best Christmas ever with our sweet little family. More to come later! Happy New Year!

Christmas Eve at Home

Leaving the reindeer food
Mixing "Ho Ho's" chocolate milk
Cookies and milk for "Ho Ho" and carrots for all of the reindeer
Setting the food out and heading to bed

The Boys' First Christmas Picture

Briley was 5 months old and just sitting up on his first Christmas. This picture was actually his first time sitting at GG's house.
Lawson was 8.5 months and army crawling on his first Christmas. Notice he can fit into the same sweater that his brother did at 5 months. Didn't this kid weigh over 9 pounds at birth???

Christmas Eve at GG's

Every Christmas Eve, we go to church and then GG's house for lasagna and presents. Briley was busting at the seams!

Christmas Cookies

I'm a little behind, so beware of a lot of Christmas pics coming up! A few days before Christmas eve, we decorated cookies for Santa. I could have licked the frosting bowl clean, yum!

Briley vs. Lawson 8 Months

BrileyLawson

Briley
Lawson

I really think they look TOTALLY different now. Briley was much, much chubbier by this time. Lawson obviously has a mouth full of teeth, and Briley had none. Their chins look the same, and they have the same beautiful eyes. Oh, and the hair is totally different!

Wedding Night

Nick and I had a semi-date night last weekend, when we went to a wedding. I thought I'd post a pic, since we have rarely dressed up lately.

Aunt Nat and Scotty babysat the boys, and this is what we found when we got home.

I really wanted to take more pics, but I was scared someone would wake up and wonder what in the world I was doing.

Lawson is 8 months old!

It really breaks my heart to be posting this. I just can't believe my baby is already 8 months old! I just can't imagine our life without this little guy. He is just the sweetest, happiest baby ever! Here are a few things going on with the little guy:

* 8, yes 8, teeth
* He started "army" crawling at 7.5 months. It can get him wherever he needs to go.
* He can move from sitting to the crawling position.
* He's getting interested and pulling up, and can make it to his knees.
* Sleeps for almost 13 hours a night, still 3 naps a day.
* Started sucking his thumb. I'm not sure why, but we're not too happy about it, although it's really kind of adorable right now. (see below)
* He's now sitting alone in the bathtub, without his infant seat.
* Eating stage 2 baby food along with homemade baby food. He loves finger foods: carrots, corn, peas, Puffs, toast, bagels... paper
* Babbles all the time: mama, dada, baba, gaga, hi, ha

Briley's First Oyster

Briley's not too much of a picky eater, of course he'd eat mac and cheese all day if we let him. But lately he's been pretty willing to try about anything. So he was really curious about the oysters that Mommy and Daddy were eating. We asked him if he wanted to try one, and of course he did! He ate the whole thing and said it was "good".

Happy Birthday Nick!

I'm a little behind, but last week my favorite husband in the whole wide world had a birthday! I'm still in denial I'm married to someone over 30, but I guess I'll have to get used to it one day. Maybe when we're 40! Anyway, I think he's super cute, super sweet, and the best daddy and husband ever! We celebrated with the family at Pearl's Oyster House downtown. Happy Birthday, Nick!

Briley's Christmas Program

Briley's class sang "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas". This is the only picture I got b/c I videotaped the program :(

Christmas Cookies!

Wednesdays have become cookie making days. Last week we made eggnog cookies. This week we used my mom's recipe to make snowball cookies.

Ever since Briley could walk, he'd run when he heard the mixer.

This is his favorite part...

he LOVES...

to lick the beaters and spoon!

Lawson loves the Christmas tree!

Nick's Christmas Party

We had our first date night in a while last weekend to go to Nick's work Christmas party. It was at the Crescent Club this year. My favorite part is picking out my little kids to adopt. Besides the fact that it's good to do, I always adopt a little girl that needs clothes so that I can buy girl stuff!

Lawson's on all 4's!

Lawson has gotten really good at pushing up on all 4's and rocking. He still hasn't figured out how to crawl on all 4's, which I totally don't mind. He's army crawling though, using his arms to pull himself around.
