Blog Slacker

Oh my! I've been bad about blogging this month. I can't really say why. I've been busy with work, the boys have been busy with school, B's been busy with soccer, and we've been busy just having family time. The camera hasn't been with us too much, and sometimes that's a good thing. So, since I've been slacking, you'll have to compromise with some test pictures I took of Lawson. The boys and I are going to Memphis tomorrow for my Fall Mini Sessions, and I bought a new chair. I wanted to see how it looked photographed, so Lawson was my model. He's not the model he was for me last year. So here he is booger nose, messy face, and after school chee-to clothes. I promise I do bathe my kids once in a while.

This time, he had to have snake in the picture

and hay.

Because in Nashville, people grow grass that doesn't like summer heat. So then in the fall, you have to seed it and put out hay. But that's another story, and we're going to solve that problem next spring :)

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Memphis for Labor Day weekend and stayed at Mimi's house. The boys absolutely love Mimi's house. They beg to go there very often. I can't figure out why ;) It may be that they get to drink juice all day, have a candy jar out for easy access, ride 4-wheelers, drive tractors, stay up late... I can't figure it out. But I do know that these boys have some awesome grandparents, and it makes me one happy mommy.

B went dove hunting for his first time and LOVED it.

Lawson had baths in the sink to clean his stinky feet.

We went to Rendevous one night for some yummy ribs. We had a mini photo shoot before we left. I'd been promising Mimi some pictures for a while now. They boys were not very cooperative, but we managed to get some pretty cute ones. I think Mimi will be happy.

She's not looking, but I sure do love the way she looks at her boys.

Mimi's first grandson, Sebastian. The poor dog loves her more than us, I think. He refuses to get in the car when it's time to leave.

On Sunday, we went to the Redbirds game and Lawson's first baseball game. It was superhero night, which the boys thought was pretty cool. Lawson loved the costumes. I forgot my camera, so this is the only picture from that night.

We love you, Mimi. Thanks for being such a great mom, grandma, and mother in law.

More Haircuts

I hate getting it cut, but it has to be done.
Photobucket
Lawson has grown up so much in the past few months. I'm sure by now you know he's the screamer. However, the screaming has stopped. He now smiles when he gets haircuts. He even walks into his classroom at Mother's Day Out, sits down, and plays. Little Bit is growing up and getting brave! Now we've just got to get him to quit sucking his thumb and get potty trained. Ha!

New Dentist

The boys went our new dentist for the first time. Briley was won over as soon as he saw video games in the waiting room.

Lawson liked the fish

and Mr. Sucky.

Briley went inside by himself and was the perfect patient. He got to watch TV on the ceiling and listen with headphones.

Then they both got to pick out treats!

Papaw Comes to Town!

Photobucket

When we moved, I didn't cry. Not a single tear. I got tired of packing, I missed my husband who was already working in Nashville, and I was ready to move to our new house. But the morning that I packed my boys, dogs, cat, and hamster up in the car and hugged my father in law goodbye, I started crying like a baby.

We love our time with Papaw, and we were so glad to have him visit a few weeks ago. He surprised the boys. I love seeing their smiles and hearing their squeals when he's around. We went to dinner at the marina the first night he was in town, and Nick and I caught each other smiling at them. The boys have one great Papaw.

Our Life Captured by Phone - 2nd Edition

iPhone dumps are my absolute favorite. I should do them more often, but my phone doesn't get connected to the computer much. So basically this is the summer edition.
