Ya'll this was traumatizing for me! I love my boys with long shaggy hair, but it was time. Lawson was pulling hair out of his ears when he was swimming, and B's hair was out of control. So it had to be done. Yes, I did hound the hair ladies for ringlets of hair to put in my little baggies, and of course took many pictures.

Our Weekend
I love summer time. I think I was born to live in a climate that was warm all year. My biggest fear about staying home with the boys was what we would do during the winter, and I admit we were starting to get cabin fever. There was getting to be a lot of arguing and a lot of me complaining, which made me feel pretty bad. Anyway, summer is here! We're outside all the time and in the water and that makes all of us very happy :)
Our neighborhood pool opened, and we have spent everyday there.

This weekend, Aunt Nat came to town. She spent Friday at the pool with us, and we went on the lake Saturday and Sunday. I didn't take any pictures, so I had to steal these from her.
Our Saturday view, we spent most of the day in the cove swimming and playing with friends. B started learning to wakeboard that day. I am learning how to maneuver that thing vs. slalom skiing my whole life, so we're having fun competing against each other!

Long day!
By Monday, we were so exhausted that we decided to stay home, go to the pool, and grill out. Nick made ribs and we had yummy smores for dessert. It was a nice, calm day!
We left the NEW umbrella open that night and forgot about it the next day when quick storm rolled through. We learned a very expensive lesson...
On Tuesday, I took the boys to Monkey Joe's to play. They had a blast and burned some indoor energy!

Briley's First Time Wakeboarding
B Man got his first wakeboard this weekend. This is the first time he got up! We are so proud of him! (Thanks for the video and the cheering, Aunt Nat!)

Muddles
Lawson loves "muddles" and his boots. He'll splash in them about every chance he gets. This was Monday morning when I was trying to leave for our last day of MOPS.
He puts his shoes on the wrong feet about 95% of the time. He also has a MAJOR shoe obsession. He goes through about 5 pairs of shoes a day from crocs, to cowboy boots, to rainboots. There are always about 3-4 pairs of shoes in my car at all times. Just in case he switches moods.

Fun Times
We went out on the lake this weekend and had a blast! Sunday, we brought friends with us and this is the only picture I got.

We moved our boat to it's new home at a different marina, so we had new territory to explore. We found a cove were everyone parks their boats. So we stayed there for a while to let the kiddos swim. Briley was slow to get in b/c he was worried that the water would be cold like last time. It wasn't, and he was so excited. Lawson took a little longer to get in, but was jumping off the boat like a champ before we knew it. We tubed for the rest of the trip. Nick had a blast when he got the kids off the tube and just had me and my friend on it. He didn't succeed at knocking us off, but I'm going to be sore in the morning! We had to get in after that b/c a big storm was coming. There's a restaurant on the water at the new marina, so we decided to eat there for dinner. We got off the lake just in time, by the time we sat down there was tons of lightening, wind, and hail. We had an awesome day, the boys were exhausted tonight and crashed after their baths, and we had a blast too. I see our days filled with afternoons in the cove, squeals on the tube and wakeboard, and dinners at the marina. I can't tell you enough how excited I am for this summer!
