IN my dream there is a gate I go thro’ quickly, I don’t wait. Ever onwards, walking fast it seems no earthly shadow cast. Alas my footsteps start to amble held by clinging mud I scramble slipping and sliding, starting to fall there seems a voice, an echoing call. Mud pulls me down, I take no breath and just before I’m claimed by death, a light shines as I’m pulled from harm a cloak wrapped round to keep me warm. A voice says loudly, ‘Why didn’t you see the Red warning notice put there by me?’ I shake my head, my sad gaze to the ground as I’m suddenly aware of a loud mocking sound. I know it so well, being doomed to never escape, I look Death in the face, … I am wearing his cape…… IN my dream there is a gate I go thro’ quickly, I don’t wait….
You hide there deep in the shadows, tell me, do you wait for me to close my eyes, breathe so deep, to dream finally? Or are you something other than a fear rising dark in my mind, could you be standing watch o’er me, a guide, without whom I’d search blind. There is no answer forthcoming, it seems that trust is the key, you wait there deep in the shadows, I live in hope you are light, an aid with which to see.

Not too scary,…just a feeling of strangeness can become something more in the tenebrous depths of night, …💫
Darkness doesn’t worry me, It’s the absence of light. It’s the unknown quantity of what’s going bump in the night. It’s the unseen that scares you plus the suddenness of dread, blanketing your thoughts, as you pull the duvet over your head.
This be a corridor leading who knowest where. Shouldst ye enter? Pay heed and beware… Note dire warnings of a dark soul lost, by ignoring true danger, he doth pay a high cost. Laying in wait, capturing souls he doth plan, ‘twixt darkness and light be a bogeyman…
