The sheer depth of feeling
wandering the shore,
comes as no surprise
you feel peace once more.
Treading golden sand,
accepting the seas touch
as waves ebb and flow
the shoreline offers much.

Countless lines drawn in the sand,
impossibly thin and barely seen,
some show how far you may go
some, where you have been.
Not warnings are they,
simply guidelines
giving hints,
should you need,
on overstepping boundaries
for personal gain or human greed.
Countless lines drawn in the sand,
who drew them long eons past?
Surely they were put in place,
to keep certain knowledge
within our grasp?

Footprints
in the golden sand,
leaving a trail hard to
understand, no one
else on the deserted
shore, so how are there
footprints?
More than mine for sure.
The rhythmic waves
playfully wash away
any sign of another soul
this day, quickly looking
back, my prints are gone,
“perchance I dream?”
I sigh, then slowly
continue on.

I do love walking by the sea, leaving footprints, In the Golden Sand, … And as I say, that’s my favourite picture, … I visit It as much as I can imagination wise, … It lifts me up, when things get me down, …💫
My heart,
it lifts in response to the sea,
walking the shore, it whispers to me.
As I leave bare footprints I know for sure,
the playful foaming waves will quickly obscure
the impressions made, tho’ a connection is held,
by digging toes in the sand, making senses meld,
the sight, the sound, the odours combine,
to enfold a genetic memory
in this heart
of mine.

Always a favourite subject, I return to the sea as often as I can, …I do wish I could live nearby,… Maybe one day, …💫
The Sea, it calls
as if knowing your name,
you can walk by still water,
but it’s never the same
the pull of the tides
as plumed waves
kiss the shore
makes you want to linger,
discover your Sea sense once more.
