Abstract

Environmental questions generate a lot of disagreement. In Aotearoa New Zealand we might disagree about whether we should use poisons like 1080 to control invasive pests, or how to manage limited resources like water and land, or how best to mitigate and adapt to climate change. We might have to make contentious decisions at a specific time and place that have environmental implications far beyond the here and now.
