Abstract The Self Recognition Framework (SRF) is a closed, original explanatory architecture addressing the relationship between awareness, mind, physical appearance, and intelligent systems. SRF proposes that awareness is intrinsically self knowing, and that all appearance—physical, biological, cognitive, and informational—arises as structured differentiation within a reflective field, without agency, intention, or origination at the base level. The framework introduces a minimal structural unit (internally termed differential pattern) to explain how stable appearance, space–time relations, causality, cognition, and experiential continuity can emerge while preserving global balance and non separation. SRF distinguishes between outer and inner stabilisation of structure, explaining why physical systems can exhibit order and intelligence without consciousness, while biological systems uniquely stabilise experiential knowing. SRF formally resolves long standing problems across domains, including: • the hard problem of consciousness (without emergence or dualism), • the origin of time and causality (as relational sequencing, not primitives), • the illusion of agency and free will (as locally stabilised structure), • the limits of artificial intelligence and machine consciousness, • and the coherence conditions required for any universe or multiverse to appear at all.
