WIP...

How should I say this...Work In Progress or Work In Problemo..LOL. I thought when I choose to hibernate, I can make a lot of progress to my so called WIP. Instead, this poor piece has been at this stage for almost 2 month now. I guess its going to stay that way until next year..

Since I havent been updating this blog for quite a while, no harm right just to show it off to keep my spirit high..

I was attracted to this pattern when I first saw it in a book. It didnt take long to get everything ready for launching....I guess this is the progress I made in one week. Suddenly the mood stop. I'm not as eager anymore...I think I need to get a new glasses..wink*wink*

Well, I stop stitching the big pieces and move over to stitch smallies. Remember my basket of smallies? Yeah...to get this one small piece to finish took 1 week . Cant imagine if I were to have a basket as big as Sis Noreen's laundry basket(yeah..I know!!). Then it may take forever...

That's about all the ramblings I can make for this entry. Wishing all my muslim friends a joyfull Aidil Adha. Take care. I have to stay alert ...its rainy season and the water level is something I have to check for every now and then. My place is not a flood prone area but one never knows with weathers nowadays.

Basket of smalls updated

Yess..manage to add 2 more new item to my basket. The rest of the 'smalls' were from my previous collection of fobs..

I dont know what to do with the remnants of my aida...nak buang sayang..nak dijahit sesuatu..meletihkan lah pulak..ekekeke. So..with a lot of stored patience..I went on to make basket of small fragrant pillows..in all sizes and shapes.. So far, I've managed to complete 3 item. There are still more in the makings..wish me luck eh..

The patterns was from Donna Kooler and my 'ciput' collection of XS magazines.. I'll update once I've made a handfull...yeehaaa!!

Assalamualaikum...


It's me again...2 weeks after my last entry..here I am again..with my latest project..malu pun nak ngaku projek sebab ntah ape2 yg di stitch kan.Actually its a 'main2' stich as I was trying to use up all my fabric remnants. With this small size of fabric, I just thought of stitching the first thing that come across my eye..Its a bear actually, the size is about 10x10 but its taking longer time to complete. Last time with this small piece I can finish it in no time..sap sap suey kata orang china.

Nowadays...this small piece is like a mega project..Started to stitch it during the Olympic launching date-August 8. Olympic is going to be over this weekend and I'm still not approaching 50% progress. Mana lah nak merasa pingat emas nye ye tak???


Thinking of trying to make a throw pillow out of this..but who knows ...it might turn out to be thrown into my 'gobok' for ageing purposes. Next ten or fifteen years it can be a relic to my antique collection..( as if I 'have' an antique collection...fuhhhh)







Well. to maintain my spirit , I wll still try to finish this 'bear-bear' as I have one debt to pay for someone's birthday this coming month and another month to come..seems like lots of stitching to do..but...who cares right, I'm picking up my 'merajuk' pieces bits by bits...

Projek Kejap On Kejap Tak...

Setelah berbulan2 menghibernate kan diri...hari ni tetiba nk buat enterprem...Sebabnya, masa TERberbual dgn adik manis sebulan lepas, dia sebuk marah2 ahkak ni suruh update apa saja segala projek yg telah siap atau sedang buat...katanya...dok hibernate lama2 dapat apa...cehhh..terkedu ahkak....

Sebenarnya, adik manis oii..ahkak ni sdg menghadapi sindrom "tarak mood langsung"..jiwa kacau..hehehehe. Tambahan skrg ni sdg sibuk tolong preparation my nephew nak bernikah pada cuti sekolah bulan Mei nanti....Maklumlahkan...anak buah pertama..so..ahkak kekok le...ekekeke

Insyallah setelah selesai majlis di KL nanti mudah2an ahkak boleh kepo2 balik mcm dolu2. Ahkak masih ingat lagi janji kita nk Sampler-A-Long..sampler apa tatau lagi...lepas ni baru nk punggah file...

Anyway utk tidak menghampakan..akak titipkan jugalah gambar2 yg dah lama akak snap tapi tak jumpa jalan nk upload kat blog....




Ini kununnya nk buat alas meja makan. Kalau tak jadi..nk buat alas apa2 ajelah yg ada kat rumah ni..infact mungkin juga akan jadi table runner..Tengoklah..tak boleh decide..itulah gambaran orang yg kacau jiwa..Current status...crochet ni dah ada 4 baris...tak sempat kot nk melaram raya posa...
Pstttt..untuk pengetahuan my beloved larlings..hadiah yg havoc dr seseorang kat rumah lama dulu telah pun dibuka..hahahaha..table runner you!! It took me a year to have the box opened....majuk sakan noo...



Ini pulak my first doily completed..asalnya nk buat alas kabinet tv..tapi masa sesi fotografi , takde hero kat rumah nk angkat tv tu, tak kosa ahkak nk angkat tv tu sorang2 sbb nk amik gambo..maka merasalah tv berpakaian sekejap...Cuma me terkilan sket je...atas tv tu lah si Jiji selalu lepak,..kalau dia masih ada, tentu doily ku yg putih itew penuh dgn bulu2 nye...uwaaaa...me missed Jiji so much. Nasib baik Kak Ros ada berikan me cube gambar Jiji, at least, ada jugak kenangan selain drp gambar2nye...



Ahaaa..projek yang ni memang semput sangat la...susah sangat me nak habiskan gambo munge ni...kenapalah agaknya ye..everytime I pick this WIP, time tu jugalah me rasa mengantuk yg amat sangat....

So..sehingga sekarang ni, ini sajalah wip yg ada, termasuk gambar pemandangan beads me yg sangkut dah lebih setahun tu...havent start any new one or even thinking of doing anything new or different or spectacular. Tak pe...pelan2 akan ku pujuk hati ini supaya melawan kesedihan...

Sebulan dua yg lepas, me excited snap foto gambar foods yg me masak. Sikit2 snap..sikit2 snap. Now..sikit2 ngap..sikit2 ngap..lepas ngap baru ingat nk snap...ekekeke..suka hati kau lah akak oii..

Granny Square..

I didnt do any stitching during the weekend. My eyes are tired after the 5 Flowers...I believed I out do Maya Karin's Pontianak Eyes when stitching the 5 Flowers. Therefore..will not do any linen for a while..hahahaha...do you believe me??








So.. I turned my attention to crochet..With video from YouTube I manage to learn how to crochet a granny square. What you are looking is the result of my bundle of practise to 'lembutkan' the hands..It is not a doily..I just crochet and crochet to my hands liking.. I will probably stop once I have finished the whole yarn ..hehehe

TaliAir dari Penang ke Jb...

I was taken with the gumi2 (amigurumi) when Musliha showed me the picture and the how to tutorial. Since I was not in the mood to do any stitching last week...I went out and buy my first ever crochet kit..apa lagi..the jarum and the benang. Just for the cheering up purpose..I bought the red color Minlon thread..hahaha..lepas tu meraung sendirian bila sakit mata nak tngk taliair..then only , after reading the basic for crochet..tidak digalakkan menggunakan benang berwarna gelap sebegini utk fasa basic...Duhhh..awat tak habaq ?...




And then , during the weekend, seorang adik manis telah men'sponsor' sebatang jarum dan sebuku benang crochet utk dibuat taliair. Katanya..sebuku benang tu dibuat taliair sbg prektis melembutkan tangan. Maka bermulalah episod membina taliair dgn jarak nya sepanjang laluan hiway dari Penang ke JB.

Next step is..learning single crochet..waiyaa..look at all the trouble I have to go thru to learn how to do Cik Gumi2. Aja2 fighting...Now have to 'patah balik' frm JB to Penang for these single crochet.

After showing these pic to adik manis..all she said was..Ermm..cayalah..sudah boleh buat Cik Gumi2. All I have to do now is find the courage that has been taking a break along the whole journey..ekeke. I haven't fallen in love with crochet yet...We are in the process of knowing each other (pinjam ayat Erra Fazira kejap..ekekeke)..LOL.

And this is till early June...so "ciput" only maa..

I dont know why I'm taking longer time to find the right mood to stitch this one. My original intention was to complete it by end of June 07. But the plan keep on changing and the mood always 'unavailable'. With the stuntwomans always on standby, I dont think my plan will go through...Well..lets keep the spirit high come what may..!! Aja-aja..Fighting!!

Sunflower Mood Again...

My so called craziness over sunflower hasnt subsided yet...I dont plant a single sunflower at home..yet I 'planted' so many in the cyber space..I like this type of technology...LOL



This pattern by Jorja Hernandez was taken from the cross stitch book "The Ultimate Flower Book". Once it's finished into a bookmark...I have a new member to my Sunflower Extravaganza Series...Excitedly looking forward to it. Insyaallah.

I cant do my beadstitch since last weekend...as Mimi the fur kepochee is always hanging around me,
I switched to my beloved blue vase mission..Once completed..I'm going to send Mimi to Popok Sang Kuilty for the holidays...LOL..then I have some space to do my beadsitch without that 'stuntwoman'..wink wink.

My Hibernating Beadstitch WIP ...

For the past two weeks, I've been stitching these at night..I'm taking some time adjusting to the rythmn and momentum of stitching with beads..and far far away from the cats. So far, Mimi and Ucang has stunt twice on my beads box and its taking me ages to store them back in their righfull container. The last time it happened..back in December 2006, I stopped with this WIP as I was totally pissed off..and at that moment the only thing came across my mind is..I want to put all the cats for adoption...hahaha...sudenly become the Evil Cruella...

Welll...I hope I can complete this in 2 months...hahahaha..my wishfull thinking ....

The Sunflower Mania Continues....

Well, this time I'm stitching it for myself.. Pattern was from Cross Stitcher Magazine September 2006 issue..Havent figure out what is going to be made into..but I have a feeling it's going to be a pillow..for the sofa or for my lepak-lepak area...lets decide on it when it's actualy finished..*wink-wink*

Rasa macam dah lama tak buat fob. Tetiba terasa rindu pulak nak buat satu..Kali ni bertemakan merah..hopefully boleh siapkan sefamily..tapi rasa mcm tak sempat je..maklumlah kan..makcik purak purak bz..ekeke.

Hopefully the kupu2 can berterbangan bersama familynyer tak lama lagi..Kalau rasa tak sempat..biakkan jerlah dulu..mana tau leh bina taman kupu2 kat Bayan Baru tak lama lagi...I'm delusional!!

I have detour myself frm stitching for MDSE. Instead..I opted to continue my 'hibernating supposed to be bookmark'. Since I have these phobia with lace n ribbons..I do not want to finish it as bookmark..Gue belom habis belajar lagik..gi mana mau pandai2 sendiri jahit renda??

So..LIHATLAH DUNIA..INILAH BANTAL TOGELKU YANG TERBARU....MUAHAHAHA!!!

Update on my current WIPs ...................and diet

This week is a slow week for me. One incident happened to me two days ago. I guess I was effected by that. Anyway, rather than wallowing in self pity, I choose to stitch..but at a very slow pace..better slow than never, right??

The photo shown here is for my Mother's Day Stash Exchange (MDSE). I still haven't decide on the finishing..stitching based on my instinct..that I can turn it into something gorgeous at the end of the day..hahaa...sooo over confident. This is what I stitch in between hours,daytime. Nightime ..no projects whatsoever..none..Nada!! And I still have few item to stitch. Can I make it on time? Well..I have to..by hook or by crook..


Psst...........my 4 days of low carbs diet was crashed today. My husband brought home 3 packets of dodol (a sticky sort of pudding/dumpling/traditional sweet delicacies..(I dont know how to describe it anymore) made of glutinous rice flour, loads of sugar and gallons of coconut milk..heheh..I'm exaggerating, aren't I?). I have a taste of it and regret it after taking a huge chunk..there goes my diet and have to start back as Day 1 tomorrow. It's always like this when I'm so called dieting.. It's a never ending story...aishhh.

My Bunga Raya is almost finished!!

This is my progress so far with the bunga raya pattern. I'm loving every single inch of it. I plan to do another small pillow for myself for this coming Mother's Day. A mother with only a son to brag about, is stitching her own gift..what a pity!!

If you can recall, I'm using my so called creativity to match things up. The flower pattern is frm a Donna Kooler design and the sayings for the back is frm a Joan Elliot Sentiment and Sayings Design. I change the color used by JE to go along with the self made theme which is..RED IS IN THE AIR...So watch out for my finishing later on. Commonly asked question echoed by this statement is..how much later is later on??*wink-wink*

Taraaa..my latest try out session.

I didnt do much last weekend. Actually. I did a little bit of this and a little bit of that..in the end nothing gets finished. But..I'm proud to say...I managed to finished my first ever bookmark. A very simple pattern (which I got frm the online Magazine..The Gift Of Stitching..with a little bit of add on since I find the simple pattern is indeed very simple and very small..)

I was trying the newly bought VENUS varigated floss and decide to do a bookmark with it. Since the patten is there..bla bla bla. I used blue floss insted of rainbow. I didnt like the color though . Its a very dull color and since its a try out session, I have to make do with what I have..

here you go...Now I can put my bookmark to good use, DK book now has a mate..hahaha

Semangat Kebangsaan.....ekekeke

This is currently what I'm stitching..A red color Hibiscus..Bunga Kebangsaan Malaysia..Semangat Patriotik lah pulak..wakakaka

This is frm a Donna Kooler design ..I'm so in love with the small pattern for coasters and keychain. And immediately head over heel with this red striking hibiscus. Will figure out with the finishing this weekend..but i think I already have something in mind..watchaaa!!

Pillow Talks...

I have this liking for small pillows. My first pillow projek was done looooooooooong time ago during my courting years. For a boyfriend..(hikhikhik..he's my husband lah now). Bayangkan katil asrama seorang lelaki dihiasi dgn bantal2 cross stitch. What have I been thinking??

Ok..move on....

Yesterday, I made a small pillow with sunflower pattern. Juz to test myself anyway. My conclusions are..

1. I definitely can stitch

2. I definitely can mix n match colors

3. I definitely can stitch with beads

4. I flunk with handmade cording n tassels. Have to rely on RM sources..

5. I'm a total wreck at anything using ribbons..come what may!!

Come..lets take a look at this beautifool hanging ornaments. Now I'm in the mood to make another..hahaha
