Luxe Box Part 2

Hey, it’s me again. I fed Helena’s turtle some candy, and now it is beaming around her studio. She is in for a nice surprise when she logs back in. I don’t think the candy sat to well with his little system. There are little trails of “jellybeans” everywhere, haha.

Moon made this cute little updo for this month’s Luxe Box. I have seen many bad reviews on it, all due to it not being rigged mesh. Seriously, it is a good thing it is not rigged, not sure why everyone is complaining. It makes it easier to fit behind various ear shapes, mesh heads, or alternative avis for that matter. Furries, Kemonos, Dragons, whatever, can all wear this. Child avis too, or even petites. Not sure how small it is, but that isn’t the point. Updos should be unrigged. Now, the designer could be nice for all you lazy people, and put in a rigged version, but seriously, takes a few minutes to size, not the end of the world.

Meet Helli – also Luxe Box Part 1

Hi, I’m Helli. I have been around for a while, but never really decided to surface until now. Sometimes that Helena is such a good girl, she really irks me, and I feel the need to bust forth and cause some havoc. This normally happens when she logs off and goes to her other life.

I do ebil things, like rez out cute kitties in her work area, and put pink curtains on her windows. It is always the best when she logs back on and cringes at all the doom I have unleashed upon her pixels.

Even ebil avatars need a bit of ebil luxury, and so I joined in on the new Luxe Box. It is basically like those subscriber/sampler boxes you can get in the non pixilated life. Each month is a new box, with new items. The way it is done is simple, you just pay a fee to join the inworld group, the group fee is your subscription fee for that month. They clear the list each month, so if you want to get the box the next month, you have to repay. The first month was for an intro price of 1k (L$1000).

This is being covered all over the grid, so I wont bore you with details, but you can check out the information on the Official Site.

This concept has been done before in second life, so it is not new by far. The last time had designers in all categories, and I think it was only L$500 a month, if I recall. There was a Ladies, Mens and Home&Garden one, with designers curated to create a complete “look”. The Luxe box seems to be more of a group of designers offering an item created in their general store style. So you wont get all the pieces to create a full look, but you will get enough to play around with.

I want to get use out of my Luxe Box, so I have decided that I will be all Ebil, steal room on this blog here, and generally just piss Helena right off. Going to do posts right up until the new month. Not sure if I will resubscribe to the box, hopefully they don’t jack the price up too much, 1k seemed doable. Much more than that, it might not be worth it, if I can’t use all the items. I don’t have a Maitreya body, lowly non main avi that I am, so am unable to use 2 of the items in this current Luxe Box.

***Tip about Luxe Box – If you miss a box, like say this first one, and you are in the group for the next one, so June, you will have the opportunity to get boxes you missed. You will have to subscribe to the new month(however that much will be) and then visit the inworld Luxe Box location. There you will be able to purchase past Luxe Box Huds. Now, I am not sure if the prices will be jacked up on those, or if they stay the same price as the initial Luxe Box Month they came out. The point is, there will be a chance to get past Luxe Box items.***

Papermoon is in the current round of 20Twenty, which is a monthly Mainstore Tour, offering up a new item at 20% off. The item this Peasant Haltertop, which Papermoon named a Corselette, which I thought was endearing. You get a hud with 8 variations to choose from.

Adoness is at Flower Power, an event bringing you the newest fashions for the upcoming spring season. The new hair to their hairline is Baldur, which comes with a shaved side with the option of a decorative hair flower and chain. Monday Eyeful – Oculos Eyes by Soul

This week on Monday Eyeful, I am showing the new release from Soul, out now for the new round of Enchantment. The Theme is The Last Unicorn. I loved that movie growing up, it made me cry lots, but I still loved, it. Watched it with my aunt, after my mom died, we would sit and eat bonbons out of the box, and have a box of tissues and a cat a piece on our laps.

These are called called Oculos, and have a large variety of colour.

They are priced L$199 for the full pack(not sure what the regular price will be). System and Mesh versions are included in the pack, as well as appliers for Genesis and Omega.

Plastik is also at Enchantment, offering many items, really, so many! Amalthea is like anything they make, jewerly wise, in that is has various necklace types for each necklace pendant. You get a texture change hud, which reacts to the gems, studs and horn, for a more customized look.

This week on Monday Eyeful, I have a full pack of spooky eyes for you all to play with.

Monday Eyeful – Miasma Eyes by #adored

This week on Monday Eyeful, I have some newish eyes from #adored to show you. I will warn you, these take a bit to get use to. The Pupil is a bit higher than default, so if you like to take pictures of your face, you might want to use an eye lock. While it is challenging to wear these, if you do take pics a lot, they do give you some added personality to your shots.

Another thing I have been enjoying is the watery look to them. They made me feel sad as well, which was apt, as this post was meant to go out last monday, after I heard about the loss of our very own Starman. May your adventures forever continue in the cosmos.

Plastik has been on a real jewelry kick lately, bother in the mainstore, and at the various events they participate in. My earrings you can find at GEN-Neutral. They are obviously unisex, and come in so many colours, as is typical for all things Plastik.

Stix is at OMG! Gacha, which is a Bi-Annual Gacha Event, that is seasonally themed. There normally is something for everyone here, as it is very loosely themed, and has a lot of different designers. This skin series is called Tamsin, and has all sorts of fun makeups. There are various head appliers, as well as the standard other mesh parts.Look to the ad, or try a demo to see if these will work for you.

Cole’s Corner has another series of fun particle emitters, this time concentrating on Bokeh shapes. I really like the stars one, which I am wearing in this post. There is also Flowers, Orbs, Hexagons, Hearts and an all-in-one Mixed.

I really liked this outfit, and had some time while leisurely eating lunch, so I thought I would post it up. Sometimes it is nice not shooting on location. I think I took 2 minutes to get about 10 shots, crop and put into my blogging template.

Uncomplicated things are a bonus for me today.

PixyStix is going through a rebrand right now, turning their store into simply Stix. They are going to be handling their Event Items a bit differently as well, to make the items more special. You are only going to have 2 weeks after events, to pick up items, before they get retired. This in a sense makes all event items made for Stix, Limited Edition.

The direction of the brand seems to be changing a bit too. I like the new ad look, I just hope she keeps with alternative tones along with the regular skin tones. The new looks seems very mainstream, which I don’t say as a bad thing, I just hope the store stays the store I love.
