Even back in the 1970s the Church accepted Evolution as the genesis of humankind and the Bible and especially the Old Testament is just a story meant to lead us morally. On multiple podcasts (Shawn Ryan, Mike Ritland) there was explanation by Israeli and US officials how and why Israel was seemingly asleep at the wheel on the Hamas attack. In that, a combination of poor assumptions via bad intel that movement near the border by Hamas was commonplace and an unlikely threat, followed by Hamas knocking out nearly ALL communications between border security and central command is the reason by the IDF.
