She closed her eyes
safe in
the warmth of
her dreams
How they carry
whispers of hope
Where humanity is spoken
in the language of love
Justice is raised
A ray of light
shines
A voice not forgotten
The beauty of the evening
in silent moonlight glow
The dancing waves
on the lake
Gentle ripples flow

In dialogue divine
the mountain speaks
of its majesty
in the calm of nature
~
An orange hue sky
The sunset caught
the mountain peaks
in thought
Faces of
a changing world
The struggles
and pain
of a hurting
race
We need humanity
more than pity
It’s sharing
that humanity
with the oppressed
A virtue
and choice
of the beauty
that still remains
In a complex world
too difficult to understand
in those rare moments
the grains of sand
in the hourglass of time
we may see ourselves
as human, sometimes beautiful
reflecting on life
relevant in a hectic
insular world
striving for excellence
perhaps even perfectionism
sometimes trying
to understand life
all in good time …
