Sangduck Kim is a South Korean artist. He has a series of paintings that are centred around a washroom. The images are intimate, stark, and haunting. Like Van Gogh’s painting of his room. Sangduck’s work is depressing. Desolate. The reflected images in the mirrors are like abstract paintings. As if art were a creation of something new and not a reflection of the painter’s soul.
