Xray Day

Today, we got little done, but they were important things. For the first time in months, we picked up food. We shared it with someone and gave away lots of food from our house, things we purchased. We got lucky. Among other things we got two dozen eggs and about six packages of skinless chicken thighs and bscb. Tommy wanted to give a package of chicken instead of keeping it all.

We then went to big box to purchase a laptop. There was no one who knew anything about laptops. We left. I did get a new wireless mouse. I cannot get into other stores, so online I go. Charlie is going to have to be more helpful with his knowledge.

Tommy has never owned a laptop, so he is no help. He has not used a computer since I have been here and before. I try to get him to buy a laptop, but he always refuses. Finally, I demanded to know why. He said if he bought a laptop (or a computer) he would be on it all night and day. He would cease to be productive. So, he refuses to be tempted. So, now I know why he has been so adamant and refusing to buy a laptop.

Next, we came home, used bathroom and went to an urgent care where I waited for almost two hours for an xray. The xray tech said it looked like a fracture, new or old, but the dr would have to examine the xray. Of course, I must wait for it to be read.

I don't recall ever hurting my hip before. Of course, maybe it is not a fracture. We will see.

By this time, we were both exhausted and hungry.  So, since BK was closest and it was fully dark, we decided on BK. That was delicious and relaxing. Cokes were at home. We will have vegetables later. Of course, I will have lots of fruit.

Tomorrow's plans were formulated around the threat of rain. Maybe we will gather the three ads. I will shop online for a laptop and then go to store to get it another day.. Most importantly, we will decided what to move so I can set up my dehydrator in the kitchen. I have three choices--dining room table, counter between sink and microwave, on Tommy's tiny kitchen table.

The first thing I will dehydrate is cranberries. I have about five bags in the freezer. I hate the ones from the store because of additives. These ones I dehydrate are great in Stove Top or regular homemade dressing. I use them in salads, too. The Vidalias need to be dehydrated, too.

The dining room table is too far away for me to precariously walk with trays of food to be dehydrated. On the counter would be good, but Tommy might decide to sit things on the dehydrator. The table  would be close, but like the counter, I need to clean it off. This stuff is not junk, but stored kitchen utensils that won't have a place to store them. So, we have lots to consider.

I did purchase a wireless mouse, a pretty pink. Edit: and I got to the local branch of my bank. Something is wrong with my accounts. So, a frantic night and call to my branch.

How was your Tuesday?

Sun Tea--Safe? and Cute New Hat

Sun Tea Is Popular In The South—But Is It Safe To Drink?

I say NO. I won't even drink tea the next day.

We will never get this list done! When I finally got the list in the car, we did little. I was looking at it the next day and forgot to put it back in my purse. I was steaming mad at myself. Today, we went out with list but after 4 pm. So, I had a list on paper but only wanted to get certain items--2 packs of Dasani water, 5 lb bag of Arm and Hammer baking soda. From DT he got 2 cartons of shelf stable milk. It is good to meet goals, even small ones. DT milk was still $1.25--good deal.

These were regular items for stock up, nothing for prepping or in advance of tariff prices. But, I would hate to wait too late to get them. I use baking soda for cleaning, especially stainless-steel sink. I keep a Kraft cheese shaker of it on sink. Tommy loves it. I don't bake anymore, so rarely use it there.

My right hip is more swollen, burns, and impedes my walking ability.

For The last two months, I have seen women wearing a hat I want. Actually, these were black women, girls and babies. I figure the hats are from many of the boutiques here run by black owners. The hats were crocheted granny squares with a ruffled crocheted brims. So cute. And, they would hide dirty hair or gray roots. The women were too far away or had a child or children they needed to watch in traffic in the parking lot. My hat is just rows of triple crochet.

Yesterday, I saw a young woman with a cute dark, hot pink hate. I told Tommy to roll down the window and give a toot. She came over and I told her I loved her hat, where did she get it so I could get one. She pulled off the hat and stuck it in the window to Tommy. I thanked her for letting me try it on. She said, "Oh, you can have it." I objected; she insisted.

Tommy approved, "That looks cute on you!" I could see the brim when I put it on. Annoying. So, I tilt it back , and it looks even better. It sort of looks like I am wearing a night cap. Have you ever seen these on people? I could crochet these if I could crochet right now. The cap at the top is multicolor, but mine is solid.

Plans for tomorrow are to get xray, get title for car, and buy laptop.

What are your plans for the rest of this week?

On It's Way

I ordered this chair to use for falls. It can be put beside a person on the floor. The person scoots over on it and there is a control to raise it. It can be used in the tub, too

Sunday, we shopped for flowers. I found none I wanted or liked, but bought four.

First Vidalias

For the last few years, I have been searching for a friend. She and her husband were in craft shows with me in coliseums. She never did small shows or outdoor shows. I have searched obituaries. So, again today, I searched obituaries and found she had died in fall of 2020. I am not sure why her name did not show up before. It turns out she moved and had health problems for the few years before her death. Her house and acreage in the country appeared abandoned but well-kempt. This is not a close and tragic loss as some deaths have been, I really wanted to reminisce and catch up one last time.

Today, we planned to stay home. Well, rain only came about 3:45 and the storm sped through. Tommy is washing the squash. If I leave a little bag of squash slices, he will put it in a salad. It is Vidalia onion season, so we bought those. He will love dices of Vidalia for his salad. He is a man who does not need to be encouraged to eat variety.

Today, the right hip, the one that hit the concrete porch is so swollen. I doubt I will be able to ride 70 miles to a friend's memorial on Sunday and then get to church basement for a lunch and then ride back 70 miles. Plus, the right shoulder and elbow are in screaming pain in car. Too bad.

The right hip waited a month to act up. Wonder what is up with that, especially since it is so swollen and hurts.

Today, I saw a cardinal land in the yard as I sat in my chair. Then, I thought I saw two more land. I went to door fast as I could. There were three female and two male cardinals. I wonder where they stay.

We went to Publix after putting squash and eggs on the stove, turning both down. I wanted Vidalia onions. All the onions we had were going bad, so we tossed those. I cannot imagine what happened. The onions were mushy in the middle but looked fine otherwise. I bought fully cooked Jimmy Dean sausage patties, pecans, Vidalia onions. I will chop and freeze most of the onions. I will leave chopped onions in the refrigerator for Tommy to use in his salads and other concoctions. When we came back, he turned stove eyes back up for boiled eggs and squash.

When we went to Publix, temperature was 61F with a slight breeze, so it was coolish. Thankfully, I wore a jacket.

The eggs were boiled perfectly! The squash was delicious. Tomorrow, I will have tuna salad for lunch.

Not much happening, huh?

Friday

 March 2

steps 11,000 planned...lol.

For 24 hours, I could not get into my blog or Yahoo mail. I was going to try again Friday morning and then call Geek Squad if I failed. Well, a fresh mind must have been the trick, although I had tried what I did the day before. I hate that!

Tommy is in the kitchen emptying the dishwasher instead of washing squash for me to slice for dinner. Guess what? Squash cancelled by me!

Tonight, we are going through spices to see what we need to buy ahead. They are already expensive, so I would hate to pay more. Of course, in the past I have only bought spices bogo. Hopefully, I can find CA garlic besides the jars. No, not going to small shops or buy bulk. Too many problems there.

We ran to Publix to purchase bread before the ensuing storm arrived. Well, the storm arrived while Tommy was in the store. The store lights blinked on and off. several times. The car was buffeted so that it alarmed me. Tommy got soaked but did not blow over. We arrived home mid-storm and sat in the car for thirty minutes until it was minimal. I was bummed. Tommy suggested we eat chocolate. He had bought two bogo. This does not help. But, we ate some.

We see people just this nuts on the interstate. Okay, maybe this is crazier.

It has been a long, busy week. My torn rotator cuff  still hurts so much!

Saved Money

 May 1

steps 12,000

The lamp on Tommy's table was acting up, flashing on and off, getting brighter and then so dim it was barely visible. I was alarmed. Tommy said it was not hurting anything. Finally, I had him tighten the bulb. That worked for about thirty seconds. All this really worried me.

Finally, we changed bulbs. His bulb still did not work correctly.

All the while, I was making plans. New lamp from WM or used somewhere? Then, I hit upon the solution--have Tommy rewire. Now, he has no idea what to do. So, I was going to buy one of those kits that required little electrical skills. Before we did that, I checked the bulb and found the solid white piece was cracked in three places. A new bulb from our stash solved the problem. So, it was not the lamp after all. Thinking saved the day and $$$.

The mower from last year came to mow and weed eat. The experience was cheaper and less upsetting to my stomach. In an hour he was done. He pushed a fallen-over dogwood tree to curb. One day, it fell over in a very strong wind. I hated that ugly tree. After it fell, the leaves budded. So, we had a lying down tree in our yard. Now, there is no greenery in our front yard.

Our mower works for a landscape company. We talked with him about planting trees. That will be a fall job. So, we will be blasted by sun and heat all summer. I have decided to plant crepe myrtle. LOTS! Plus, I want other flowering trees. I do not want a tall tree to eventually fall on the house. I have seen too many pictures of tornadoes' aftermath. We did get our last year mower to mow this year--less stressful.

I have done anywhere from 5000 steps to 15,000 steps each day I have not reported, depending on how I have felt.

Tommy upgraded his wardrobe all on his own. He shopped for knock-off Crocs and a belt. I told him to get a leather belt which he did.

We had a forecast of three days of bad weather. Today has been just fine here.

Tommy had to pay $180 for one Dexcom G7 to stick on his arm because of some mix-up with his prescription. Usually, he pays about $35.

A Little Outing

March 26

steps 12,000

Friday, we decided to go to St. Elias Lebanese Food and Culture Festival in Birmingham at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church. The day was cloudy but bright. The mood was festive. We called the day before as there was no drive-up line. A guy in the office offered to meet us in front of the church with cross and take our order and cc. He delivered it to us. We sat in the car and ate right there in front of the church.

Our food order was $57, but we have eaten from it twice. This will feed us for two more meals.

I had the grilled chicken plate with 1/2 grilled chicken, pita bread, rice, and green beans cooked in tomato and spices. I ordered a meat pie. It is sort of like a very fat fried pie or hand pie. Plus, I ordered bread, savory. I did not expect flat bread, like pita with a filling. It is okay and should be my lunch or dinner tomorrow. The rice was wonderful. I only ate breast. Tommy will get a meal or two from the remainder.

Tommy had baked kibbee plate. Kibbee is ground chuck with spices and baked in a dish and cut into diamond shapes. He also had the green beans and rice.

We discussed desserts. The ice cream had nuts, so I did not want to take a chance. Tommy wanted a doughnut. I wanted a bite. He said to order one for me. "But, I might not like it." He said he would eat it. The doughnuts had no hole. It was the shape and larger than a Honey Bun, not round. The outside was crispy and the inside was dense. We both ate our doughnut right then except for a small piece I brought home.

There was a list of the foods and ingredients. Lebanese use a lot of cinnamon, so I was afraid Tommy would reject things because of the cinnamon. I reminded him I used cinnamon in my spaghetti, and it never tasted like cinnamon. He made no comments about the taste.

 stelias.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/2025-Festival-Food-Descriptions.pdf

About twenty years ago, I was invited along with other friends to a home in Birmingham. Dinner would be whatever each person wanted to order and pay for. I had a salad that was drenched in lemon juice which I ate. The next morning when I awoke at home in Cullman, I could not see my ears because my face was so swollen. I was not taking a chance today.

I mentioned this to man who helped us. He nodded and said the Lebanese use lemon juice like we do olive oil. No, no way to avoid it in my order.

There was a list of souvenirs, including a coin skirt. This baffled me. The guy who helped us was standing there when I saw a young woman with something sheer with gold trinkets around the edge. When asked, he said it was for dancing. I really wanted one of those. Next time! No, not going to dance. Okay, maybe.

Have you ever been to a Lebanese Food Festival?

Thwarted and a Surprise

march 23

11,000 steps

I do not feel like typing at all. I wish I knew how to speak and have my speaking be typed for me. I made a plan, but no one else did.

Ixcept called yesterday and just before we left to see if they had xray. I was assured both times they did. So, we egot in the car and left immediately since they would close in an hour. Tommy cooperated.

EXCEPT, he left the walker  in the yard less than three feet from the car because he was trying to hurry for me.

So, I had to dig out license and insurance cards. Usually, he carries my purse and water because carrying things gets me off balance, so I sway

Plus, how can he go in and be supportive???  I told him to use his canes. CANES??? He did not bring any. Usually, he has four and my four-legged cane.

By this time, I am beside myself. I told him to keep my purse in car. I told him to lock it in the car first, after I got cards and thought he had canes.

I went in, sat down and told them I could not walk to counter. Actually, I cannot stand at counter and talk, pplus, it makes a longer walk.

They came and got my cards and I filled out three pages. MY right arm and elbow, andhand and shoulder were in severe pain.

Tommy came in, walking/shuffling two inches at a time. This is dangerous for him. He said he did it for me. Hell NO. Bring a walker so as not to hurt yourself, too. That is not helpful. Yes, I reamed him out right there. Say nothing about that.

Then, avery nice woman told meI could see someone but could not get an xray. I was very annoyed and she knew it. I was to the point of collapsing. She said she was not the person who told me I could get and xray if I came in. Fair enough. But, employees should know the protocol. It turns out that no one there knew how to do an xray.

I gave her back her pen and clipboard in exchange for my cards. She reached for the papers I had filled out, telling me she would shred them. I told her I would take them home and shred them.

Now, for the really problematic part. I offered to let Tommy hold onto me. He said, yes and held on with both hands. He parked far  away and uphill. We both suffered getting to the car!    I doubt his steps were even two inches long.

Before this event, we went to get three ads, went to bank, shopped at Publix and did not go to Walgreen's to pick up meds. Everything went well until I was told I could not get an xray fifteen minutes after I was told I could.  I have been sleepy all day. This was not good.

I have had messages in for nurses who will talk to doctors. Maybe I will get calls tomorrow, probably while I have a doctor appointment.

Xray is for right him on which I landed on porch! It hurts and is lumpy and swollen. Doctor said it is at some part of hip and cartilage or something is swollen. He said it would be okay, but he does not have xray in his practice. I need to see if this is a problem.

I did not edit this at all unless all letters in a word were wrong and word was indecipherable.

Since I onlymove to go to bathroom, I forced the steps.

Oh, have not had a banana in three weeks. The mouth feel is unbearable! Anne, I understand.

Edit: i forgot to say that I was too tired to get dressed when we went to shop and then went to urgent care. So, I put on my pants, rolled up nightgown and tucked it into waistband. I put on light jacket and looked dressed enough.

Steps

 April 22

steps 9,999

Sorry, it was all I could do. Half of these steps, I felt like I was going to throw up. I am still exhausted but cannot sleep except for a bit at night. I don't even want to eat.

Malaise

 April 21

steps 11,000

Today, I could barely move. I decided to force myself to pedal. I still feel ill, lethargic.

Tommy is not helping with Easter meal, so....

We have been nowhere, done nothing.

Well, I made phone calls to doctors, made longer lists of things we need or need to do when we went out.

We managed 20 minutes of therapy on my legs before I had to go to the bathroom.

I cancelled cleaner because I could not deal with sitting while she changed my bed. The last cleaner took about 45 minutes and could not remember how from week to week. After three months, I was still instructing her.

I think the lethargy is from thyroid problem!

Breakthrough

APRIL 20

maybe 2700 steps

Much better! Although I am still quite ill, the ear does not hurt so much and am no longer dizzy. My ear still roars. Since I was not dizzy, I took half a pain pill, which of course, made me dizzy again. I sway and lurch around, but I don't fall.

Easter, we had a chocolate bunny and Dominoe's pizza. No progress toward Easter dinner.  There is still only the turkey breast done. I had a big kale salad later.

The antibiotic is working, I suppose.  I slept little last night, so feel miserable now. It was an okay Easter once I gave up on food! I cannot be staggering around the kitchen!

Tomorrow, a new cleaner comes. She speaks Spanish and very little English. I am not sure I am up to this. At least my bed will be changed.

Maybe you need one of these cups.

 April 18

steps 4,380

I was so tired, I could not do more.

I awoke dizzier than the day before. So, I did not take a muscle relaxer. After a bit, I had a pain in my left ear that was excruciating. It was a an earache causing me problems. But, when your balance is gone, it won't matter why you fell.

Tommy gave me his walker to go to bathroom and followed using canes because he was afraid I would fall.

I am taking antibiotic and taking measures to help my clogged Eustachian tube.

I feel too bad to type anymore.

Thursday News

 April 17

11,000 steps

I awoke this morning and sat on the bed waiting for dizziness to go away. It did not, so tried to get to bathroom without falling. In the bathroom, I staggered but hit a wall and stopped the fall.  It is almost 10 pm, and I am still dizzy. At first, I panicked, thinking something dangerous was going on. No, I think I took a muscle relaxer.

Riding in the car yesterday without anything for shoulder, like a pillow, caused me to relapse in the pain category. Except, my shoulder blade felt like it was coming off my back. After sitting in my chair, I was desperate for sleep and relief from pain. The arm and elbow were okay.

I considered taking a muscle relaxer. I must have...lol. So, all day long I have been extremely woozy and unstable while walking. The prescription is for three each day. I cannot imagine what I would be like if had taken another today and another tonight.

When I went to bed early morning, I did something I have wanted to do since the day I fell. I lay down on my right side. I was shocked the pain was completely gone in the morning.

We had a list of things today, so paired that down.

Tommy was called by insurance agent who refused to find our car. It turns out it was not a water problem at all. The battery cable was barely wired onto the cable. As the battery jiggled in the car, the connection was eventually too loose. Plus, the motor mount was loose and in danger of fall out or something. So, Tommy thinks maybe that is from October hit and run. That is repaired.

The guy who hit us no longer lives at address he gave. So, his insurance company is trying to find him, too. This is the guy who said 'burra' to us and pointed to his jacket logo.

Tommy told the insurance guy to get it to a body shop and repaired. He agreed to do so. He should after jerking us around.

We returned the dehumidifier to Lowe's because it quit pumping out water when I could still mash it out of the carpet and seat.

Damp Rid got no moisture from the car. It has sat on porch when it was raining. Still no water collected in the little bucket. I have used this before, and it worked. I don't know what is the problem.

Several days ago, I noticed the red purse I hate was worn on the four bottom corners. I hate the purse but fixed the corners instead of discarding it. I have a red pen that is a favorite, so I used that on the corners. After a few days, I tried to use wetness to get it to run. Nope. The ink is stable on the purse. Now, I don't have an excuse to get another.

We met a man down the street working on a house. He came down and removed a danger near the porch. One of the neighbors, dead now, put up a 2x4 railing on one side of the porch to help Tommy with going up the steps. This was on the other side of the porch where I fell on the other side of the ramp. If I had fallen on that side of the ramp, it would have killed me. The guy used wood that is now rotting. The railing was nailed on the with six-inch nails. The wood is mostly now rotten with six-inch nails protruding. Plus, the wood was cut at sharp angle.

I have tried to get Tommy to agree to get it removed. He said, "No, I might need it."  Besides being dangerous, it is unsightly. After I fell and said I hoped neither of us fell there, he has not objected. So, it is gone. I feel safer. Surely, he does.

Lana, you accused me of lying to my doctor, How? I don't lie to doctors!

We also met a man who wants to buy the house with barking dogs and is now abandoned. He said that if he rented to dog owners, he would have them keep dogs on other side of the house. YAY! If he does it.

Midnight and my dizziness seems to be abating. The shoulder blade seems to be all better. Of course, there is still the rotator cuff problem.

Tiring Day

 April 16

13,000 steps

After visiting the cardiologist today, I am back to more exercise. However, I think I overdid it with too many steps.

The doctor gave me more info, emphasizing how I could not miss a dose, asking me if I whaere taking the Eliquis. I had brought some with me, but it turns out it was a box with a coupon for more. He rushed out of the room, got two boxes, opened one, punched a pill through the foil, and told me to take it. I must take this for at least a year.

He told me, emphasized how lucky I was. Only one out of 100 make it alive to the hospital. That is from afib, I think. Then, the surgery is risky. I had tears in my eyes, about to burst out crying.

He is from Israel. I asked him if he were not afraid Trump would deport him. He looked surprised and said he was a citizen. When I told him Trump deports citizens, he looked shocked. Later, Tommy said does he not read?

The whole time was very pleasant. Excellent doctor visit, excellent office staff. Now, I have to take care not to die. We picked up 3 grocery ads, bought a couple of items.

I barely slept last night, so took a nap this afternoon.

For Easter, I have a turkey breast that I will cook with Polynesian sauce from Chick fil A on it, green bean casserole, potato salad, deviled eggs. Maybe something else. We each have a chocolate bunny for dessert.

Car is repaired. More about that later.

Spectacular

 April 15

steps 3500

We were riding along in a paid ride to pick up a rental car when I caught sight of a huge truck on fire! It was spectacular. The whole underside or about 30 feet was in flame, plus more looked to be flames blowing back.

(20+) Video | Facebook

Okay, that was not the truck I saw.

We hired a ride and rode 30 miles south to get a Rogue. It is great for my back.

I talked on the phone with guy I saw in Lowe's. He came by for a 'free' estimate. Well, $100 to mow and use weed eater is too expensive. Tommy said okay. When I asked the time on Monday he could come, he said it would be Tuesday but he could not commit to a time. My story of sleeping late led him to believe that about 10 am would be good for me. I laughed. So, I asked for 2 pm. He said he could not commit to a time. "We don't deal with time." He would be there when he finished with last job. Tommy guffawed at this. I told him we could not work with that. He relented and said he would be here between 2 and 2:30. I doubted he would be here by 2:30.

He fooled me, got here early and told me he was here at 1:45 as we were bringing home rental car. He asked it they could start. We arrived at 2:30.

He was stacking all the limbs from big tree at back fence. I saw red! Then, it appeared he was stacking tiny limbs on the crosspiece for the clothesline. ??? He was so surprised I did not want limbs across the back fence. He said he was putting the metal line on the clothesline crosspiece and became defensive, saying it would ruin his mower. I said he could wrap it around to keep it up. He refused rather defensively like I was asking for extra work. So, if it blows down, his problem if it ruins his mower.

Tommy checked for weeds and had him finish. After he had his $100 bill, I looked out and told him to put the garbage can back. He was right near it. Then, I got up, went to door and yelled to get the black plastic bag from against the fence. Tommy said he got the two plastic bags there, too. I think this is too much trouble. We will find someone else. How did a mower and a weed eater manage to miss three bags at the fence?

This was an ambitious sounding young man with a 'crew.'  He wants us to check the yard every time. I prefer not to do that every time. His lawn mower is tiny. I appreciate working his way up. But, he needs to work for other people. Oh, the gas he uses is $32/gal Husqvarna. He used that to justify his price. It is for the weed eater. Expensive gas won't do a better job. It sure did not pick up three plastic bags against the fence.

Our car is with the right person. This car is rented for five days. There is no problem with getting to doc who did surgery. Tommy is going to wash my hair tonight.

When I came into the living room, Tommy was up and on the phone. He cannot get what he needs using a ten-year-old ATT phone book. So, I got on laptop and gave him numbers of car rental places.

Okay, Tommy helped wash my hair, did not do whole job

God's in Her Heaven, and all's right with our world.

And, They Lost Our Car!

Now, the insurance company rep says he is too busy. I called and got someone else. She did not know where it was, but where it should be, which the guy did not know and could not find out. It is 5pm and he has not called back.

Tommy called same locksmith that promised me for hours I would get a call. At the end of the day, I was told they would not come until morning. I asked if they were 24/7. The person said yes and had no answer, just hung up on me.

I suppose I gave Tommy the wrong number to call, so partly my fault.

I went to bed at 2 am and woke at 4:15am. Finally went back to bed at 11 am and woke at noon. When I came in here, Tommy was watching television and had called no one. I had to stay up and make him call.

We got a nice young man who made a key and did some extra stuff for $20. He carried dehumidifier to car, backed the car out of the carport since I hit things.

We went to store, and I forgot son's card. grrr

Took car through the car wash. Boy, was it dirty with mostly pollen. Mentioned it was for sale to someone at store who told someone who needed a car and looked at it.

I am bleary from lack of sleep!

I drove for the first time. It was painful. Tomorrow, we have to find our car and get it to mechanic and get a rental. Mine is hard to get into and difficult for Tommy to drive. This ordeal is wearing me to a nub. So, we jave ;pst twp days.

Now, I have to get a rental car or force him to do so. I am getting sick of asking him. Unbelievably, I still feel the impact of hitting the porch all over my body. My doctor said it was the trauma of the fall. Oh, I have the remnants of a huge bruise on the underside of my breast.

I suppose no comments means no interest.

The guy who made the key was interesting. We got his life story- Indian and Irish, Second generation Indian. More about his family dynamics and his job. He did extra stuff for us. Interesting young man.

This is so stressful!

Frustration

Finally, I gave up on trying to get car to a place to fix electrical issue. So, called tow company and told them where to take it. They will keep it at tow place and deliver it at 8:00. Whew, that was easy. He even carried the 40 lb dehumidifier and put it inside house. Nice, cordial man. He is from Yemen. I hope these guys do not get deported.

Tommy said the guy started it to make it easier. It was put on a rollback and gone in no time. I felt better. Now to start my car. BIG PROBLEM! I cannot find the fob!

I called a 24/7 locksmith for over two hours and got promises to call me back in five minutes. Finally, the 800 number just hung up on me. Then, someone answered and said a tech would call in morning and schedule a time. I asked if they worked 24/7 and she said "yes."  I told them not to bother.

My frustration level was so high that indigestion was hurting me. I wanted the car to get the birthday card and bogo food.

Tommy is no fun right now. He keeps telling me not to talk as he is doing important paperwork! I keep forgetting...lol. Oh, he is working on his taxes.I will shut up and not talk.

We still need to get a rental since driving this is a problem for me. Tommy cannot drive it across town to dr because it sits wrong for him with his disability. Neither of us can get into without a struggle or get out.

Another ongoing frustration. Tommy cannot microwave a hotdog and get it hot. He says if he microwaves it more, it starts popping and breaking. I say any hotdog that stays in same shape after cooking is not good. Next time, he can boil it or fry it, just don't give me a skinny, lukewarm dog!

Do you like a hotdog that is still same size as when bought and lukewarm?

So Angry

Once again, Tommy is making me angry, just the most angry now. The car will not start, something about electrical system, emergency brake. He wants nearest place to fix it, never mind if that is something they do. So, now, I have to worry about the cardio who operated, appointment with him wed morning. Also need hip xray!

At 5:30, he tries to find close tow without knowing where to take it.

Car insurance says we don't have towing and he thinks we do. He probably told me he got it and did not! He saves money the inconvenient way!

I needed to get birthday card for son, oldest child and buy bogo stuff. His car is behind mine!

Slept well Fri night with spaghetti and 1 g melatonin. Usually, 1 mg does nothing.

SAM, this may work for you.

I could get no pain relief. I told Tommy step by step how to make spaghetti since I have been craving it for weeks. I ate a huge portion and sank into a spaghetti coma and all pain dissipated. That was about 7 hours ago.

Now, I have developed a very swollen and painful hip! That happened yesterday.

Tommy said to tell you I had an extra dose. Yes, he is telling on me for eating twice tonight.

Other stuff I found.
