New Frontiers in Quantum-Enhanced Sensing and Metrology

We are delighted to announce the international workshop "New Frontiers in Quantum-Enhanced Sensing and Metrology," taking place from 15th to 17th September 2026 at Durham University (UK).

The workshop will explore the transition from standard quantum sensors to next-generation devices exploiting the scalable control of multi-particle quantum states. We aim to unite experts across three important frontiers: translating quantum sensors into practical technologies, developing theoretical frameworks and protocols for quantum-enhanced metrology, and pioneering the quantum control, detection, and entanglement necessary to exploit quantum effects for enhanced precision.

Organised by the UK-Canada QuSAM collaboration, the programme includes 12 invited and 10 contributed talks, a poster session, and a conference dinner at the historic Durham Castle.
