Old age isn’t a lot of fun! I hadn’t worked in my studio for ages. I rarely even go in there. The longarm sits patiently waiting for attention from someone. The fabric is folded on shelves or on bolts (my favorite way to store it). There’s a Featherweight set up on its table. If I ever use it, it’s a rare occasion.
Health changes for both of us have really altered the way we live. I won’t go into any of that but suffice it to say that I just can’t do a lot things that used to come so easily. I’ve been in the studio a good bit this week. I’m donating a few quilt tops to someone and they needed laundering and pressing along with some stitching of loose seams. Just the little time it took to re-stitch a few things made my neck and shoulders ache! For heavens sake. Who knew that sewing was that much work?
So, I’ve decided to sell most of my sewing/quilting stuff. There’s a pretty good “for sale” list that I’ve been a member of for several years. The group is called: SewItsForSale and it’s on “Groups” which is an older platform for group communication. It was previously on Yahoo Groups but that changed with the times.
We can use the space for something else and maybe my things will find a good home. Valentina (the Innova longarm will also go up for sale at some point). I just have to find good places to list it and determine a sale price for it and the quilting accessories. It will not be available for shipping….it will be local pickup only.
So, that’s what’s going on around here for now.
