I have spoken at length about my heartfelt devotion to Nicola Maria Roberts on this site so I will try and focus on the songs I have chosen rather than just gush about her but for the record: I live near her home town of Runcorn and I think it is an utter disgrace they haven’t erected a statue in her honour yet. Get it done Runcorn!
Seriously though, she may be one of the most underrated singer/songwriters…maybe ever? Even when she entered the TV competition that launched her she was a bit of an underdog despite being one of the few performers featured who could actually hold a tune.
