“The movement was started by two grade 12 students in Nova Scotia. David Shepard and Travis Price got wind of a boy in grade 9 at their school who was harassed for wearing a pink shirt the first day of school. They went out and bought 50 pink shirts then emailed all their friends about their idea. They called their campaign the Sea of Pink. The next day, they handed out the pink shirts and found that many more kids had heard their plan and came to school dressed in pink already, bringing hundreds of students in wearing pink.”
