Pet Therapy

Rhythm is a Therapy Dog registered with Therapy Dogs International. Therapy dogs provide animal assisted therapy to people in various facilities – such as hospitals and  nursing homes. Therapy Dogs are not Service Dogs who are trained to assist their handlers in some way.  Therapy Dogs do not have the same access rights as service dogs. They must have specific permission from the facilities that they visit. Rhythm visits schools and the local library where she provides reading support. She also visits a rehab hospital and a juvenile detention center.

  1. Rhythm sounds like a lovely dog! My sons have participated in storytime with library dogs here in Georgia, and they loved it. Keep it up, it makes a difference! And thanks so much for following my little ‘ol blog. 🙂
