A Much Needed Weekend Getaway but....

Our wonderful friends Jan and Gene invited us to their cabin this past weekend in the mountains at nearly 10,000 feet. I bet 2 miles above sea level would not upset a pregnant woman's stomach in the least bit, right! I use the term "cabin" loosely since there's running water, electricity, and beds. They are the most gracious hosts and took care of our every need. We headed up on Friday evening, spent a relaxing day on Saturday, and returned home on Sunday. We even made time to visit the local Pizza Hut. I guess one treat Steve enjoyed as a kid was dining here. Oh the joys of small town living. I don't really have a love for their pizza but I can appreciate the memories of childhood. I just wish they still had those table top arcade games. Any one for Pac-Man?

I love the blue door!

Don't forget to stop at the local beach next time you're in town!

So Jan and Gene we thank you for your kindness and nursing services.

Our Baby

Our first ultrasound was amazing and somewhat surreal. Sorry, the picture is a little difficult to see. What a beautiful gift we have been given from our Father in Heaven. We even had a chance to hear the heartbeat at 180 bpm. I have been feeling pretty good until the last week and I'm continuing to fight nausea and vomiting. However, it will all be worth it in the end. Unfortunately, the end feels like an eternity away. This should be a good lesson in patience for me.

Introductions Please.....

We thought some introductions were in order. I'm Annmarie and Steve is my sweetie. We've been married a little over 2 years now. We met at work and we won't say who pursued who but we're happily in love. I fully expected to live a life as a single gal but our Heavenly Father had a different idea. Steve joined the church about 2 years ago and we've been teaching Primary together. Steve is a engineer and I work in finance. We recently moved into a new home and love the location. We're close to work, shopping, and enjoy views of the reservoir and mountains.

We recently learned that we'll be having a baby around May 20th. Our first appointment is tomorrow and I am filled with excitement and anxiety. So that answers the question...why we've joined the blog community. Our family needs to be in the know. We look forward to keeping you informed of our new adventures.
