Kendall's New Adventures

During the last week, Kendall has decided that she can feed herself. She does not need any help with the spoon. She does pretty good but gets sidetracked on occasion leaving quite the mess. However, it was especially funny to watch her eat corn on the cob. Kendall's teeth are really starting to finally come in. So far, her 2 bottom teeth and right upper tooth have broken through. She is working on 2 other top teeth as well.

Last night, we went to a Pioneer celebration with my family. They had a BBQ and many activities. Kendall had her face painted and got to ride a pony. She was so excited to see the pony. I wonder if she thought it was a big dog.

Summer Lovin'

We had some wonderful adventures the last few weeks. For the 4th, we celebrated at the Freedom concert. Kendall loved the music and climbing on Dadda. We had a blanket spread out and she refused to walk barefoot on the grass. It was a great way to keep her close. She watched the fireworks but was not too excited about them. We would probably go to the concert in the future.

We also took a long weekend to Durango to meet up with Steve's parents. Our first evening, we ate downtown, window shopped, and ate ice cream. On Friday, we drove to Vallecito Reservoir took a short walk around and then a drive. We stopped for a snack and Kendall ate nearly the entire carton of raspberries. We got caught in quite the rainstorm and waded through a parking lot to eat lunch. We drove to Lemon Reservoir and Kendall would have climbed in the river if it were up to her. She really enjoyed playing with the dog in the truck. On Saturday, we took it much easier. We went out to breakfast, took a drive, and relaxed. On Sunday, we took the long drive home.

Steve's parents took the drive back with us and we took the opportunity to visit the zoo. Kendall really enjoyed riding the carousel and seeing all the animals. We also went to the pool that afternoon.
