HISTORIC LANGUAGE: DORIC
Today is International Mother Language Day. My mother tongue is English, but I am also reasonably fluent in the, as of 2018, third official language of Scotland, as my formative years were spent amongst a number of people who talked that way. One of them being my father. So, maybe Doric’s my father tongue? https://www.bbc.com/travel/article/20210321-scotlands-little-known-fourth-language […]
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY 2024

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR 2024
More babies are said to be born in a Year of the Dragon than in any other year of the Chinese zodiac. Among them: my great nephew, Cohyn, and – me! Though obviously not the same Year of the Dragon. There have been several others between his and mine. https://depts.washington.edu/triolive/quest/2007/TTQ07030/dragon.html
