Utah Flash

Last night we took the boys to meet the Utah Flash. They got their pictures taken with some of the team, but none of them turned out very well. The Fox put Dylan up on his shoulders, but did the picture turn out? No. Logan screamed his head off whenever the Fox came by. He's my outgoing one, but he's terrified of mascots. I think the highlight of their night was playing in the bounce houses.

I...

Thanks for the idea April!
I know... I am a daughter of God.
I believe... in miracles.
I fought.... with my older brother all the time when I was younger.
I am angered... by random pen marks on my walls.
I love... to see the temple (sing it with me, people).
I need... some chocolate. Now.
I take... very hot showers.
I hear... my tummy growling.
I drink... juice. I love it! Mmm Yummy
I hate... telemarketers. You'd think the Do Not Call List would help...
I use... cartoons as an incentive for my kids.
I want... more kids ONE DAY!
I like... being home with my kids. Someone may need to remind me of that now and then.
I feel... overwhelmed sometimes.
I wear... jeans and a t-shirt whenever I can get away with it.
I left... some clothes in the washer overnight. Dang it!
I do... laundry way too much. See above.
I hope... my children have strong testimonies of the Gospel.
I dream... dreams so vivid, that I'm often mad at Ryan until I realize it was just a dream.
I drive... a lifted Chevy Silverado.
I listen... to my heart. It's always right.
I type... way slower than my husband. I think his fingers actually smoke when he types.
I think... I'm too hard on myself.
I wish... I could always protect my kids.
I am... a Cubs fan.
I regret... not finishing college.
I care... what others think of me, even though I try to pretend I don't.
I said... things I never thought I would. For example: Were you born in a barn?
I wonder... what I should make for dinner tonight.
I cry... when I laugh too hard. Quite confusing for the boys.
I lose... sleep when my boys don't feel good.
I leave... my socks on sometimes when I sleep. Drives Ryan crazy. Not in a good way.
I should... go see why Mason's crying.

Grocery Store Nightmare

So I went grocery shopping today with all the boys. Wait, it gets better. I always write out my list in order of the store to help speed things up. Our first stop is usually the bakery. They give out free cookie samples and that keeps the boys occupied for at least 2 aisles. Well, Logan is my big helper, my Mr. I -Can-Do-It-Myself. While I was picking out some good green peppers, he decided he was going to go ahead and push the cart. Good idea, except he can't see where he's going! He crashed into a display of Herbal Tea and Cajun Chicken Marinade. Yeah, weird combo, right? The herbal tea wasn't a huge deal, but the marinade... Luckily, the bottles were plastic, but being bottles, they were of a curved nature. About thirty bottles of marinade rolled in thirty different directions.
So, I was wondering, do you have a grocery store nightmare? Something your kids have done, or heaven forbid, something you did when you were little...

Spotlight on Dylan!

I think Dylan needs a post all of his own, so here are his stats...
He's 5 years old & currently attending his 2nd year of preschool. He's already reading books, which I'm pretty sure I didn't do until at least 1st grade. He insisted on his training wheels being taken off his bike when he was 3. He's such a good big brother, and is especially helpful with Mason. He loves sports of all kinds and playing outside. He's got his own left-handed golf clubs and can't wait until he's old enough to go hunting with his dad. He loves veggies, but I cannot get the kid to eat mac & cheese. He's very creative and smart. He's a lot like his dad, in fact, I'm told Dylan should be named Ryan Jr. The most awesomest thing he said today: "There's nothing better than Mom's dinners".

A Walk to the Park

Today was such a nice, sunny day we decided to go for a walk to the park. By the time we got there the older two decided they were too hot for coats.

Anna, don't you miss this?

There was a winter wonder land outside this morning when the boys woke up. Time to dig out the snowpants. What fun. It takes them 20 minutes to get ready. " That doesn't fit! That's Dylan's, I want my own. I don't need gloves!" Luckily, once they're dressed they stay outside for a while, and leave me with a muddy wet mess when they come back inside.
