Last week Grandpa Moyes took us up to the South Hills to go snowmobiling. He was very kind as we were LATE getting up there and not so well prepared. The weather at home was beautiful, but not as nice once we got in the mountains. I wasn't planning on going so I didn't dress that warm either. After a little persuading from Rob (we haven't been snowmobiling together for 5 years due to either pregnancy or a newborn at home!) I decided a little trail ride couldn't hurt. So we all bundled up with anything we had and went for a little ride. It ended up being way to cold for Brooklyn to be out, as she wouldn't stay under the blanket. Ava wanted to ride more no matter if she froze to death. So Grandpa, Dad, and Ava went for a longer ride while Brooklyn and I rode around the parking lot and played on the sled.

When they got back, Ava wanted to go FAST through the parking lot. So Grandpa and Dad each took her FAST on the sleds. And oh my goodness, they went really really fast. Enough for me to hold my breath but of course Ava loved it!
Brooklyn enjoying some treats in the warm car!
After the girls were officially frozen I took them to Grandma's house for some yummy chili. Rob and Grandpa stayed behind for a more adventerous ride. By the time 9:00 rode around, my mom and I were getting really worried because we hadn't heard from them and they should have been home LONG ago. Right as my mom said "I'm going to go up there to look for them" They FINALLY called us. My dad's machine had broken down during the ride, so they spent hours trying to get it back to the trailer. I guess the ride back consisted of my Dad and Rob riding one machine together (now wouldn't you have PAID to see that!) and towing the dead machine behind them. They had several obstacles such as the rope breaking a few times, not being able to get up the hill due to too much weight on ONE sled...etc... Thank goodness after everything going wrong they were able to make it home!
Thanks Grandpa for taking us and all the preparation you put in to get us up there! And thanks Grandma for the dinner! We had lots of fun!
