A Road trip with Vader had been a long dream of Yellowie and just like that, the trip started from Carabad. It was a matter of pride for Yellowie  to travel with Vader.Cross-Continent travel is the only thought running on her mind. One smile, can start a friendship. One word, can end a fight. One look, can save a relationship. One person can change your life.

Yellowie drives in the forward direction while Vader goes reverse while seeing her. Yellowie lost herself while experiencing the culture & beauty of Bhutan. While Vader lost himself in the beauty of her.

Vader lost himself in love..

Vader lost himself in love with Yellowie..

It Suddenly starts drizzling , Yellowie starts her windshield wiper & fog lights on. Vader thinks that she’s amazing the way she is.. She starts Wipers and Foglights.  She looks stunning at that point of time. He is awestruck with beauty of her.

Paro international airport is located in a deep valley at an elevation of 7300 ft above sea level. The surrounding hills are high as 16,000 ft.

So is this how beautiful anyone can look if they’re happy from inside?
Thank God!! I made this trip And thank god she’s mine” he whispers to himself. ..
“What?” Says Yellowie
“What?”  Says Vader
“Are you even listening to me?”
“Oh oh yeah! I was just admiring the beauty. Yellowie, knowing that he was talking about her and not the nature, blushes and looks away..

Here’s a small inspirational story for all of you, which will teach you one of the greatest lessons in life. This story is about the life of Sylvester Stallone.

Stallone was born in a poor family. And yet as he was growing into a young man he only had one dream; He wanted to become an actor. He wanted so much to become an actor but he has this major setback against his dream; He has this defect in his jaw, which causes him to speak with a slur. And so Stallone would go from production house to production house to apply for an acting job, but nobody accepted him because he cannot speak clearly.

Stallone had this director who he kept on pursuing for an acting job, yet like all the rest did not mind giving him a chance. What Stallone did was he kept on coming back into that director’s office. In the morning when the director arrives for work, Stallone was there waiting for him, and in the end of the day, when he leaves for home, Stallone was still there.

Every single day he kept on doing this until finally the director got annoyed and confronted him asking “What can I do to drive you away?!” to which Stallone replied “Give me an acting job.” And so finally the director gave in, he said “Okay, for God sake, I will give you a role, but this is all you will have, after this you will have no more.” He was accepted, and right after that role, indeed nobody had given him acting jobs anymore. Though trampled with a lot of rejections, Stallone didn’t think even once of giving up on his dream.

He never gave up his dream..

He never thought of giving up on his dream..

Two weeks later, he saw a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner and that match gave him the inspiration to write the script for the famous movie, ROCKY. He wrote the script for 20 hours and then offered it to the production houses, on the condition that he will be the main actor. The script was done and off Stallone into carrying out his plan. The script was commended, but because of the condition that he will take the lead role, nobody accepted his offer.

Finally there was one production house who were much interested in his script; The production manager said “Stallone, your script is good! We will buy it for $75,000! but you will not be the main actor, we will hire someone else.” Stallone upon hearing this replied to his deepest conviction, “No thanks, I have to be the main actor.” and then he left.

After a while the same production house called up again to him and said “Stallone, come to the office, we are raising the price, we will buy your script for $225,000! but on the condition, you will not be the main actor, we will hire someone else.” Stallone once again replied with conviction, “No I’m sorry, I have to be the main actor.” and then he left.

After sometime, the movie production house called up to him again and said “Stallone, we’re raising the price, give us the script, you will have $1 Million!” Plus the manager added a one last degrading advice “Accept this already Stallone, this is too much of an offer. Let’s just face it, we all know you will not be able to make a good lead, you know you can’t deliver good clear dialogues, we can’t hardly understand you. How do you expect people to like seeing you on screens with that? Just take the amount already, go on with your life and forget that becoming a lead actor dream of yours.” to this, Stallone replied without any hesitation, “No thanks, I have to be the main actor.”

I want you to understand where Stallone is coming from at that point of his life. He was so poor; He could not even pay his bills. He even sold his dog which was his best friend for $50 just to have a little to spend going around and to have a little to eat. And yet he turned down a $1 million offer for his script, returning home poor, hungry and alone, all because of a dream.

he is

He was poor and hungry yet he turned down a 1Million$ offer all because of a dream..

It is having that strongest conviction of not having the will to give up on the deepest desires of your heart. Finally after sometime, the production house called up again and said “Stallone, we are giving up, you will be the main actor but we will be paying you $35,000.” He was accepted with great skepticism but he just didn’t mind it at all. From $1 million it became $35,000 but he is more than satisfied because he got what he wants.

Stallone went on to buy his dog again. He offered $500 but the new owner said he had come to love the pet and will not sell it any more. Stallone raised the price to $1000 which still the new owner declined, and so he raised and raised the amount until out of his aggressiveness he finally got back his dog for $15,000 plus the new owner having a one last request as part of the deal. He asked Stallone to give him a role in his upcoming movie, which Stallone deliberately granted for the sake of having back his dog. He spent $15,000 just to have his dog again.

Stallone dog

Sylvester Stallone really loves his Dog

The stage was set. The movie was shot and done and was successfully released for public entertainment. Rocky-1 It grossed more than 171 Million dollars and on that year had won 10 major academy awards including; best actor, and the best picture of the year. And there started a spectacular career which greatly impacted the entertainment industry and the world.

And today, the same Stallone who slept on the streets and sold his dog just because he could not even feed it anymore, is one of the greatest Movie Stars who ever walked the Earth! Nobody in this world can ever tell us that we cannot do it. If we think we can, we can do it! Because in reality, the only limitation we have, are the ones we set in our minds. Just remember, none can destroy iron, but its own rust can! Likewise, none can destroy a person, but his own mindset can. So be careful about your thoughts.

Life is tough. Opportunities will pass you by, just because you are a NOBODY. People will want your products but NOT YOU. Its a tough world. If you ain’t already famous, or rich or “connected”, You will find it rough. Doors will be shut on you. People will steal your glory and crash your hopes. You will push and push. And yet NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. And then your hopes will be crashed. You will be broke. Damn broke. You will do odd jobs for survival. You will be unable to feed yourself. And you may end up sleeping in the streets. It happens. Yes, it does. BUT NEVER LET THEM CRUSH THAT DREAM. Whatever happens to You, Keep Dreaming. Even when they crush your hopes, Keep Dreaming. Even when they turn you away, Keep Dreaming. Even when they shut you down, Keep Dreaming.

NO ONE KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF EXCEPT YOURSELF! People will judge You by how you look. And by what you have. But please,Fight on! Fight for Your place in history. Fight for your glory. NEVER EVER GIVE UP! Even if it means selling all your clothes and sleeping with the dogs, it’s ok! But as long as you are still alive, Your story is not over. Trust me!! Keep Up the Fight. Keep your dreams and hope alive.

Here are some of the inspiratory quotes:

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.” – Anatole France

Ups and downs in life are very important to keep us going, because a straight line even in an ECG means we are not alive. -Ratan Tata

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill

The same boiling water that hardens the egg, will soften the Potato! It depends upon individual’s reaction to stressful circumstances! Let’s start 2015 year with a New and positive Mindset. Once again Wish you all a Happy and prosperous newyear!

Elephant and the Rope Story

As a man was passing some elephants, suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not..Elephant and rope

He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. “Well,” the trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”

The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were..

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before?

I think every one of us can relate to this story and the feeling of having failed at something or another over the years. Over time, we can begin to think that we are not capable of doing a particular thing and we accept this as the truth and limit ourselves to a very confined world. We think to ourselves ‘ah I tried that before and it didn’t work out, what is the point in trying it again and wasting my time, I don’t want to look like a fool!’ And this is how we start to shrink and contract and settle for a life that is ‘safe’ and ‘less than exciting’. However, if we could look at all the so-called ‘failures’ in our lives as just stepping stones along our path and decide to respond in a way that is positive, saying ‘ah well, at least I tried, now I know what doesn’t work so it makes my next attempt clearer!’ Treat it like a process of elimination, gathering momentum and staying focused on what we would like to achieve, trying this way and that until we succeed!

So, don’t limit yourself to a small world, shatter those thoughts and beliefs just spread your wings and fly..This world is yours. You can do anything you set your heart on, if you just believe it! Go on, just try it and never mind what the outcome is, just enjoy every experience you encounter in your life and embrace every bit of it! So what if it takes you 10 attempts or 100! Which will you regret more…the things you did or the things you didn’t do?! It’s all a journey so let’s make it AWESOME! You will never know how far you can go until you have the courage to do it! And if you fall, just get up again… that’s all!

A sugary fruit with Lord’s name- Ramphal

While travelling in Maharashtra, I was amazed to see a fruit called ‘Ramphal’ while we were in the verge  of exploring Daulatabad fort, Aurangabad. Since I never heard of it. I was bit curious to know more about it. So I flooded that vendor with many questions related to this fruit.
Me: “what is this fruit?”
Vendor:“Sir  ji this is Ramphal. Don’t you know?”
Me: “What is the main season for ramphal ?”
Vendor: “during March – May”
Me: “How does it taste?”
Vendor: “It is sweet just like Sitaphal (Custard Apple). You should taste it and know it by yourselves.”
Me: “How to differentiate between ripe and unripe fruit?”
Vendor: “If the fruit is pale green or hard to touch and have shiny green skin then it is in unripe state. The  ripe fruits are heavy and soft to touch. The ripe fruits are very sweet.”Ramaphal Annona reticulata (2)
Since we’ve a lot to travel, I thought of ending the conversation. So I asked him to select few good fruits for me. I bought some and went to my dad and showed him as if I discovered something 😉 then he told me that they used to eat this in their childhood. Perhaps these are  found only in rural areas where they grow. May be they are seldom found in cities?

My Tastebuds exploded with Sweetness:

I have guessed that the taste of this fruit will be similar to sitaphal. And my guess was right. But this is more sweeter than sitaphal. It was very sweet indeed. But the second one was mildly sweet. Maybe the taste of the fruit depends on the fruit and its tree. When compared with Sitaphal, its texture was creamy yet slightly granular, especially nearest to the skin.It is smoother, butterier and the best part is that ramphals have fewer seeds.Ramaphal Annona reticulata (3)
With a pinch of excitement to know more about this fruit ,I have spent some time in browsing other forums to share the most about this lovely fruit with my friends and followers..

Origin of Ramphal:

Ramphal or Annona reticulata also known as bullock’s heart is originated from West Indies, Central and South America. However, It is naturalized in Southeast Asia, India, Taiwan, West Africa and Australia.

Health Benefits :

Health benefits of Ramphals is quite fascinating. They are high in vitamin C, a nutrient that boosts the immune system, keeps skin healthy and assists with repairing wounds and cuts.
It has potassium, which helps the body regulate its electrolyte balance, enhance muscle growth, and improves the body’s ability to process waste.

The leaves act as an insecticide, styptic, anti-helminthic, Anti ulcer  and, when applied externally, as a suppurant (or, aids in the elimination of pus). The ripe and unripe fruits combat dysentery; the bark is a potent astringent and vermifuge. In Ayurveda and Unani, leaves are used as an aphrodisiac and emmenagogue(stimulates menstruation).

Ramaphal Annona reticulata (1)
Interesting Facts about this fruit:

All the species of Annona fruit are named after Hindu Gods like Ramphal (Annona Reticularis), Sitaphal (annona Squamosa)and Lakshmanphal (Annona muricata). It is quite endearing that in Hindu mythology Ram is married to Sita and Lakshmana is Ram’s brother. Interesting isn’t it?

A boy & the Apple tree – A story of everyone

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow…he loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.“Come and play with me” the tree asked the boy.“I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more” the boy replied.“I want toys. I need money to buy them.” “Sorry, but I do not have money… but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.”The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree was excited “Come and play with me” the tree said.“I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?”“ Sorry, but I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted. “Come and play with me!”the tree said. “I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” said the man.“Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.” So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years. “Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you ” the tree said.“No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite” the man replied.“No more trunk for you to climb on” “I am too old for that now” the man said. “I really cannot give you anything, the only thing left is my dying roots” the tree said with tears.“I do not need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years” the man replied.“Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, Come, come sit down with me and rest.” The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears.

This is a story of everyone. The tree is like our parents When we were young, we loved to play with our parents. When we grow up, we leave them…only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could just to make you happy.
You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents. We take them for granted we don’t appreciate all they did for us, until it’s too late.
