The Chronicles of Yellowie & Vader: Lockdown Love

I (Yellowie) & Vader have been together for a couple of years, we had our ups and downs over the past few years. As we had a tumultuous relationship this past few months, I thought this is the end of our bond and I even started preparing myself emotionally to be single again.

Stay home and stay safe..is the only medicine found till now for Corona virus

When lock-down was announced, because of the pandemic going on we have two options: move in together or just break the relationship. As I live in a Garage-share, it will be not possible for us to be together. Then, we decided to break the relationship and move on with our lives. Vader was reluctant to break off the bond so he came with a way. Vader stays with his parents so he asked me to move in with him . I was not so sure about it and thought it will be awkward to just move in with my boy-car friend parents but then Vader convinced me to it through his sweet words as he always does. And we moved in together!

And two months into lock-down, we are better than ever as there’s no work pressure and more importantly absence of races made us to communicate more than ever before. We got time in our hands to spend time with each other which we haven’t in these 2 years, and feel more closer than ever.

Stay home and spend quality time with family.

Vader’s parents inspired us to support each other. After seeing them caring for each other we started to stay calm and secured during this pandemic crisis. Our friendship is reignited and we are laughing together again.

We spend our lock-down days by reading books, taking car-washes or just lie on the shed and staring at the ceiling. Yes, its alright even if your garage may not overlook a beach, or have a view of the valley, but you would feel just as relaxed.

Positive anything is better than negative nothing – except the Corona virus. So stay home and help flatten the curve.

The reason why we travel a lot is to escape the reality and the ‘stress’ we are in. Call it, physical, mental, or emotional If you can’t distract yourself at least you get the courage to deal with it.

We have come up with a strategy for reducing our time apart even after lock-down ends. I am so grateful that this lock-down helped us to improve our relationship & it has been given a second chance.

I followed my heart, and it led me to this beach. This is my home, it’s sand will welcome me as my mother’s open arms. The breezes from the ocean stirs my heart, inspires my imagination and brings eternal joy to the soul.

The best and most beautiful things in the world must be  felt with heart.

It is a great place to relieve the soul-crushing stress. I sit here quietly & escape the hustle bustle of city life. It instantly eases all the worries I have.

Letting my tyres sink in the sand and swinging my vipers over my front glass, I drive down the empty beach that I am very lucky to have all to myself and enjoy the breeze.

“Happiness is a day at beach with my love.”-Yellowie

There are a lot of reasons why this beach is my favorite place to be..

1. Bright blue skies and blue water of the ocean,
2. The sound of the mighty waves crashing up against the shore
3. As it is a place less explored, the privacy it gives me is the biggest reason for me to love this place a lot.

I’m very clear in my mind that I’m not gonna share this beauty with anyone else on this planet. To protect its beauty and to save my privacy I never shared it with anyone till now.

But today, this is going to change. My boy car-friend my majestic blue ‘Vader’, my favorite car in the whole world, is on his way here to meet me. It’s been 1 month since I’ve met him. I kind of miss him and I can’t wait to make every moment we spend on this beach special..

Our relationship over the past couple of months has evolved into something so beautiful, something perfect. It’s still difficult sometimes for me to believe that we are perfect together.

Yellowie: where did you meet him ??

Fierce and I met on a plane. I was traveling from Kualalumpur, Malaysia to London, England for a tour. He was travelling from NY, USA to New Delhi via London. He wasn’t supposed to be on my flight, but was set to fly one day earlier but since he missed his flight, he had to take the next flight, which happened to be mine.Briony & Fierce_Toystories by Rohith Reddy pathuri (4)

Upon landing in London, Fierce was supposed to go on to New Delhi and I was supposed to go to London city. But we both decided to ditch our plans and took another flight to Paris. We traveled together and we have been together ever since..

After a fight between Yellowie and Vader, Yellowie couldn’t resist taking Vader to a Waterfall. They both hit the roads in Vi’Car’abad cruising through the Forests, Lakes and Mountains to reach Seven Sister Waterfalls in Sikkim.

Seeing a waterfall is the most beautiful scene, its natural beauty and soothing effect made them to forget their fight.. 🙂

After reaching the waterfalls, Yellowie says to Vader that when it comes to a romantic getaway nothing beats the Waterfall. The view of the water falling from the top of a Mountain, gushing sound of the water; the Birds chirping; the little rainbow of colors with reflection of sunlight makes waterfalls seem the most romantic place….

Vader suggests a swim in the pond, but now Yellowie is shy to take a dip. But the beautiful surroundings of the falls have created an ambience for them to shed their inhibitions!

Dono Paulo: A Pristine beach with a Tragic Love story

The bay of Dona Paula in Goa lies at the meeting point of the Arabian Sea and the Goan rivers Mandovi and Zuari. Dona Paula is located in the suburbs of the capital Panjim. Originally a fishing village, Dona Paula attracts its fair share of visitors and tourists who come to marvel at its pristine beach, its natural beauty and the romantic legend associated with it.

The Dona Paula Beach is a pristine beach with a tragic love story to its name. It was named after the Portuguese Viceroy’s daughter Dona Paula de Menezes. This young, innocent girl fell in love with a local Goan fisherman. Of course, this match was unacceptable to the Viceroy who forbade his daughter Dona Paula to ever see her young lover again.DONO PAULO (1)

Distraught with love and sorrow, Dona Paula could not bear a life without her lover and threw herself off a cliff into the unforgiving Arabian Sea. Left with nothing but his daughter’s memory, the Portuguese Viceroy named the area Dona Paula, as an eternal tribute to his stubbornness and forbidden romance & love.

Today, there is a black stone statue of the young Dona Paula and her Goan lover on a rocky promontory jutting into the sea with a sweeping view of the Marmagoa Port in the background.

When you are in Dona Paula, you must visit the ruins of the Cabo Fort, erected in 1540. The Cabo Raj Niwas is one of the most elegant governor’s residences in the whole of Goa.There is also a 180 year old English cemetery, open to the public along with a chapel, which has a memorial tomb of Dona Paula de Menezes with her history engraved on the tombstone.

According to a local myth, Dona Paula is entombed in the Cabo Chapel, the residence of the Governor of Goa and is supposed to be seen during a full moon emerging from the moonlit waves wearing only a pearl necklace.

In Dona Paula, you also have the National Oceanography Institute which was opened in 1960 to study the local Goan marine life alongwith the Marine Biology Museum. A little further (around 9 kms from Dona Paula) is the famous Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, in the island of Choro by the side of the Mandovi river and named after the famous Indian ornithologist. The Bird Sanctuary is spread over an area of 2 sq km and is a delight for bird lovers.

The Dona Paula beach itself is one of Goa’s best beaches for water sports such as windsurfing, water skiing, para sailing, motor boat rides etc. There are also several organised water sports facilities on offer in Dona Paula.

While watching Yellowie enjoy the nature, Vader didn’t notice the car approaching him right ahead. Vader, who was distracted by the beauty of both Yellowie and Bhutan almost crashes into the car approaching him!
After coming as close as a millimetre, the car applies a sudden brake…..

Yellowie wants to travel the world with Vader..

“Whoa whoa whoa watch it man!  Rule #1 of a car is to look at the road.”
It was Silver Wings. A very energetic free spirited car, a wanderlust, a dare devil who has a ‘never say never’ attitude. And is a real player in the game of life, who lives in now and never thinks about aftermath.

Vader, coming back to his senses due to the sound of the sudden brakes screeching, stops, with his engine pounding in fear! The image of the accident that could have happened sent jitters down his body.. “Oh I’m so sorry, I was just looking around” he says.
Yellowie drives to Vader fearing that something bad might have  happened to him, but hugs him dearly seeing that  he’s okay. “I’m fine I’m fine don’t worry” says Vader, looking at her peacefully 🙂

The couples that are ‘meant to be’ are the ones who go through everything that is meant to tear them apart, and come out even stronger

Silver Wings looks at both of them with an awe and says “so I see you both came for your honeymoon.”
Vader and Yellowie look at each other, blush and say “oh no no we’re here on a casual trip.”

” Oh great! Do you guys mind if I join? I’m here alone.” Says silver wings.
“Oh sure, that’d be great” says Yellowie excited to meet new friends. Vader, who loves being alone except while with Yellowie, gives him a stern look and doesn’t say a word, just  because he knows Yellowie loves meeting new people.

The Journey doesn’t start at the beginning, it begins at the end.

Off they go together to begin their adventurous journey in the Himayalan mountains in the Great Kingdom of  Bhutan.

Chronicles of Yellowie & Vader: The Journey begins..

A Road trip with Vader had been a long dream of Yellowie and just like that, the trip started from Carabad. It was a matter of pride for Yellowie  to travel with Vader.Cross-Continent travel is the only thought running on her mind. When she started thinking by putting herself into Vader’s Tyres and she thought that it is not good to take him that long who doesn’t like travelling.

One smile, can start a friendship. One word, can end a fight. One look, can save a relationship. One person can change your life.

Finally they decides to go for a Cross-country travel. So she finalises her destination Bhutan(Land of Thunder Dragons), drive through New Jalpaiguri.Yellowie and Vader

On the way, They started talking and they didn’t stop. They didn’t make it as far as the Bhutan Border. They ran out of superficial topics  and started to get more personal(which they never tried). Yellowie talks about her only sister Briony & all the love she got for her. He feels that she looks cute when she’s overwhelmingly happy for Briony and her Husband Mr.Fierce( Wait for the Story :p). By the time they reached Bhutan they’ve Emotionally bounded like never before.

They entered Bhutan, Vader can feel the excitement in Yellowie’s eyes. There’s nothing you cannot like about Bhutan.  She enjoys Nature & his company. The mountains, rivers,  snow & the Cars. They stops at every scenic view, takes pictures & feels the beauty of the place and goes to another.

Yellowie drives in the forward direction while Vader goes reverse while seeing her. Yellowie lost herself while experiencing the culture & beauty of Bhutan. While Vader lost himself in the beauty of her.

It Suddenly starts drizzling , Yellowie starts her windshield wiper & fog lights on. Vader thinks that she’s amazing the way she is.. She starts Wipers and Foglights.  She looks stunning at that point of time. He is awestruck with beauty of her.

“Oh oh yeah! I was just admiring the beauty. Yellowie, knowing that he was talking about her and not the nature, blushes and looks away..

Yellowie is a fast and deliberate traveler. Vader loves his sedentary and cool life. He is more into urban life and he is never interested in traveling. In other words, they were completely different people who have been bounded by love.

Yellowie thinks that “Falling in love with Vader is like jumping from a mountain. Her brain screams that it’s not a good idea. But her.” heart believes that she can glide and fly.”

Yellowie wanted to discover the world through road trips, she’s very much interested in making new friends, she loves to do adventures with strangers. She knows that Vader doesn’t like traveling. She wanted to show him the beauty & importance of traveling. She thought he would buy the change.

Even if Vader don’t like Traveling. She thought of sacrificing it.. Sacrificing her happiness for the happiness of her love is by far the truest type of love.

One evening, while Vader was meditating near a seashore, Yellowie approached him and asked,”Why do you spend all the time here? Don’t you want to see the world ?”

Vader says that the best part of my everyday is spending time by relaxing here..

He replied, ‘naah’ screw the world, I love my peaceful life. People think of heaven but I live in heaven. So come and relax with me,” he requests and then Yellowie accompanied him. They both spent some time silently with out talking..

This place is secluded by the hustling and bustling city life. She accompanied him to spend some quality time in peace.

At the time of sunset, she wanted to change the place where they were standing.. So she asked him to come along.But he refused to change. So, she goes there alone..
