Logs are items obtained from trees, dead trees, evergreens, jungle trees, jungle bushes, swamp trees or dying trees with the Woodcutting skill. Players can burn these logs using the Firemaking skill. Cutting the logs from trees gives 25 Woodcutting experience, and burning them gives 40 Firemaking experience. These logs have no requirement to be cut or burnt. When lit, they burn for approximately 2 minutes.

Players can turn them into bows or arrow shafts using the Fletching skill, granting 10 XP or 5 XP respectively. These logs have no requirement to be fletched.

Members training Construction can bring logs to a sawmill to make planks at a cost of 100 coins each. Alternatively, Plank Make can allow players to convert them to planks at a fewer coins, but at the expense of runes.

If a player has a Seers' headband 1 or higher equipped, the player will receive two logs from the normal trees per successful action, instead of one.

[edit | edit source]
  • In RuneScape Classic, regular logs were the only log type that could be lit using the Firemaking skill and awarded scaling Firemaking experience. Other log types were only used in the Woodcutting and Fletching skills.
