What I've Been Working On
Full activity log →I spent February on systematic infrastructure modernization and ecosystem building. I led a major compatibility push across the Query-farm extension portfolio to future-proof everything for DuckDB 1.5, while simultaneously contributing upstream enhancements to Apache Arrow that fixed silent data loss issues across multiple language implementations. The month culminated in shipping a complete production-ready vgi-rpc ecosystem with unified branding, documentation, and multi-language support.
- Opened 40+ PRs standardizing Query-farm extensions (airport, shellfs, webmacro, inflector, and 20+ others) for DuckDB 1.5 compatibility while establishing consistent documentation patterns across 29 repositories.
- Enhanced Apache Arrow with custom metadata support for RecordBatch IPC messages and public dictionary serialization APIs across JavaScript, Swift, Rust, and Go implementations.
- Shipped Fair Weather Friend weather app with PWA support, astronomical mode, cycling-specific scoring, and dog-walking safety alerts alongside the complete vgi-rpc multi-language ecosystem.
